Can't wait to see more! We will be on Splendor in just 2 days!

Are you set up to get email alerts when someone replies to your thread? Your previous thread had a couple of replies in September.

I know I've read on here before that FB Messenger works with the "Social" plan. I've also read that you can use multiple devices on one plan but can only use one device at a time. Does that mean if my wife and I want to communicate with each other onboard using Messenger, that we would each need to purchase the plan? Also, I know that the plan costs $5 per day, but what is the price for the entire 7 day cruise? Carnival's website mentions a discount but doesn't say how much it is. Thanks!

NCL Getaway - get a spa cabin...
RCCL Allure or Oasis of the Seas. Get an ocean view balcony...
While those are great ships, they don't do the 3-5 day itineraries that OP specifically asked about.
-
If you must leave on the 28th, I only see 4 cruises that fit your criteria:
RC Majesty of the Seas - 3 Day Miami to Nassau & CocoCay
Norwegian Sky - 3 Day Miami to Great Stirrup Cay & Nassau
Carnival Ecstasy - 4 Day Miami to Key West & Cozumel
RC Independence of the Seas - 5 Day Ft. Lauderdale to Labadee & Falmouth
cruisetimetables.com is a useful site to search specific departure days/ports.

What kind of bag will you place it in.
We use this. Works great!

My flight lands at 8:40...
Correction...Your flight is scheduled to land at 8:40. What will you do if your flight is delayed a couple hours? It may be too late now, but I would NOT have scheduled a transcontinental flight for the morning of the cruise, even without the side trip to the cemetery. I see that this is a 15 day cruise to Hawaii. If you miss the ship, there will likely be no way to catch up to it. Something to think about.

We live in Florida, so we are wondering what type of clothing do we bring? Is it going to be chilly even in July?
By Florida standards, I would say yes. Daytime temps average low to mid 60's, but it can get warmer than that sometimes.

We use a little vanilla soft serve for flavored creamer.
That's a great tip. I'm gonna have to try that!
-
AA/US from MIA has lots of check-in kiosks and plenty of other flights should you miss yours.
What about UA out of MIA? We have an 11:36 flight after debarking Splendor on Dec 13.

Water is great for hydration!

If you choose to stay at an airport hotel, take a look at Seattle Express. They will pick up at your hotel and drop you off at the pier. The current price is only $12 pp, but their website does mention a possible fare increase to $15. Still a lot cheaper than the Princess transfer.

All cabs in Seattle are Toyota Prius.
That is a ridiculous statement. I know I've seen other makes/models driving around Seattle. Maybe you meant just the cabs that serve the airport taxi stand? I guess that's a possibility but still hard to believe that every cab there is a Prius. Also, OP didn't mention if the 3rd person is an adult or a small child. That would certainly make a difference.
Were you staying near the airport? I wouldn't recommend this to anyone staying downtown. A lot of backtracking. We actually flew in 3 days early spent time in Seattle then on the day to leave on our cruise we headed back to the airport and caught the shuttle to the port. Very easy and organized. -
Looks like we are on the same cruise. You should come on over and join the roll call: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2208961

Oh wow! Must have been pretty serious to make a detour like that. Why not just disembark them in Nassau?
-
Just leave it on the dresser the entire week.
So, once it makes it through security, you don't have to worry about being "caught" anymore?
-
Just wondering...If you do get a box of wine through, do you keep it in plain sight in your room, or do you hide it somewhere?
-
How would someone even find out who is in that room and get their contact information?

Using Firefox on a Windows laptop - Carnival site looks unchanged from what I've seen for the last several months......
Yeah, same here. Then I tried Internet Explorer, and I do see the new search function. However, you can still get to the old one by selecting "Plan" then
"Find A Cruise" from the menu at the top of the page.

FYI - The airport code for Fort Lauderdale is FLL. FFL is in Fairfield, IA.
-
I wish they'd include a search option for specific ports.
I use vacations to go dot com for that. Very useful site for searching cruises.

I would think so. We're doing almost the same itinerary 2 weeks later, except instead of Amber Cove on Tuesday, we have Half Moon Cay on Monday and a sea day on Tuesday. So, I'm assuming our cruise will have elegant night on Tuesday and Friday.
-
Wait...Isn't your last port day on Friday the 27th (the day after Thanksgiving)? Departing Grand Turk at 5:30?

We are cruising in a little over two weeks. Our flight gets in around dinner time after traveling all day from Seattle. I chose the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon because it seemed to be the most convenient place to stay without a car. There are 2 drug stores, 1 grocery store, and several restaurants, all within a 1 block radius. In the morning, there is a complimentary hot breakfast. It is also the highest rated MIA airport area hotel on Trip Advisor.

Epic doesn't do Mexican Riviera cruises. Jewel does.
