  1. AWSOME!!!!! Thank you very much!!! As we have sailed on the Gem, we know the Great Outdoors well and like to keep that a hidden secret :) Im surprised at the time stickers on the lounge chairs...seems they are at least TRYING to get a hold on the chair hoggers

  2. Great review!!! Thank you!!! We are sailing the Jade on Thanksgiving after she gets back to the USA. A sea day review would be great as we are not hitting those ports although I wish we were. How was the ship overall? We have sailed her sister ship the Gem out of NYC and looking foward to seeing the differences. :):D

  3. yoboy You are in a B1 now? If you are switching from one B1 to another B1 there should be no cost increase. Keep checking because as you saw, things do become available when people cancel or upgrade.

Are you coming to the M&G? Pls check in at our roll call page on this site (if you want!)

After sailing our October breakaway and on the aft all the soot that gathered turned into a nasty mess on our balcony when it rained in Nassau so bad that every thing was like walking on black muck. The cabin stewart had to put towels down so it wasn't tracking onto the carpets. He said this is an all the time occurrence so we did change our gem cruise to a mid ship mini. I haven't checked our sailing thread in a while will look now.

  4. We were at Orange Fever and you could get a bucket of 6 beers for $10.

So, think about it. Where would you get your cooler, where would you get your beers, and what would the beers cost you?

Is Orange Fever also clothing optional? Trying to determine the closest clothing optional beach/bar area with beach service from where the cruise excursion drops us off without walking a mile

  5. We are currently booked on a 9 day NCL Gem out of NYC in March with a great Eastern itinerary. Have done the Gem in the past and 3 of the ports but never Tortola. We are now considering going over to Royal to sail out of NJ on the new Quantum for the same week same price but having done the San Juan and never the private island. CONFUSED...HELPPPP!!! THOUGHTS???:confused:

  6. Good afternoon

We're thinking about booking the nov 9 sailing frm nyc bc of how cheap it is but have a few ?s

How is it sailing in the cold? (We've always sailed during the summer)

    Are the seas really rough?

Have a 3 yr- are many kids sailing during this time?

Are you able to rent a car at the port in orlando?

Tell me what you love best about sailing in nov & this ship!

    Thanks so much!

We sailed the Gem out of NYC for thanksgiving 2 years ago....LOVED IT. Was not rough but not lake sailing either for 1 day. At sail away you can expect cold but when you wake up the next day all is good! We love the ease of sailing at of NYC living close to the port, we just got off the BA and love the Gem better. Bigger is not always better. I think as far as kids you have to consider what school vacations are going on at the time of your sailing to determine that, obviously you will have more on the thanksgiving week.

  7. We just got off and had cabin 9922 and the balcony was huge!!! We had 3 lounge chairs,4 regular chairs and 2 tables and still plenty of room. The only down fall was after the rain the balcony deck that had light powerdery soot on it got very nasty we had to use a towel to wipe our feet and shoes not to track it onto the carpet
