Just read this on another site, any info on this elsewhere as we are scheduled for march 2015, this may be a deal breaker as we have sailed on her already and looking forward to the refurb the following is copy and pasted....I just received an e-mail from NCL that our Nov 1 2015 12 day cruise on the Gem has been cancelled due to the Gem dry docking during that time. I need to reschedule. I could schedule on the breakaway, which I liked, although I love the Gem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How do they know all 6 are booked in the cabana?

You are most welcome and enjoy your cruise and your cabana.....?there is a tram that will take you to the Cabanas....so it makes it very easy to get there.

There is also a shower behind every cabana so you can rinse of the saltwater.Please don't hesitate to ask away:)

I have seen that cabanas get preference tender disembark. How does this work with 6 people when you book the cabana and it's only booked under 1 persons name. And 2 of the 6 people are from another booking #?

We are sailing on her in Oct. and have a BX Gty right now awaiting cabin assignment but are considering upgrading to an aft balcony. We have always sailed on a balcony but never an aft. Other then mini suites,suites,Haven...just plain old B1 aft's what is the census for best decks for the larger balcony then others? Cabin #'s or pics would also be great. thank you all

With Bertha heading right up the east coast this week though out at sea, it seems the track has it right along the same path as these 2 ships take weekly. Think NCL may just may head them out way East with no stops? this way posted on the site yesterday....

Anyone have any inside scuttlebutt on what the August specials may be OTHER THEN the all inclusive thing? We have our final payment due next week and are hoping for that last minute deal before we make that payment.

Well after reading all the great advice here I went to the ncl site and all aft balconies were sold out for my birthday sailing. So I called my PCC and low and behold 1 just came available! Though on deck 8 (I told him you guys said avoid) he said grab it and wait and he will check every week for deck 10 and just change it then call me for payment difference. Now I have 2 sailings booked!! I have to change my signature now!! :)

Yes please do!! Don't forget the cabin # as I do know even cabins of the same class do somewhat differ. Bon Voyage!

I am looking at booking another Gem cruise for March 2015. We have sailed on her before in a BB balcony but now are looking at AFT balconies. Does anyone have any info on specific cabin#'s that are different then other AFT's and what is the difference?

I'm trying to find out if they serve beer in bottles or cans or both. I ask this so I know what kind of koozie I need to bring. Hey, we all have our packing priorities:D

We've got an MX GTY for our Breakaway sailing on 02/01/15 so what does that get me. Hope someone has an answer while we still have time to change if we need to. Supposed to be a mini suite and we got a great price for a 12 day sailing.

I understand the guarantee rules I guess I should have been a bit more clear on my question. What was the best upgrade given from a bx guarantee was really what I was looking for. Maybe a new thread is needed for this?

We are tossed and need opinions either to spend the 79.00pp (not to mention the mad rush to get to guest services after embarkation) for the Vibe for the adult only, hot tub, and lounge chair private access or just do SpiceH20 during the day as they also have 2 hot tubs, lounge chairs and are adult only during the day...for free......Thoughts?:confused:
