I'm scheduled on Beyond out of Rome for 11 nights including an overnight in Istanbul next May. Has anyone heard what ship would replace Beyond? Or, if they are just cutting these itineraries period and I would need to rebook (with whatever parameters they lay out) on a different itinerary?

I can't speak to renewing by mail, but I'll respond anyway. 🙂 I submitted an online renewal at the beginning of January. I paid for expedited service. I just got my passport last week. So, that was 12 weeks for what was supposed to be around 6 weeks. It did read as "In Process" much of that time. Then moved to printed and shipped within one hour when it finally went out. I have read so much stuff on passport renewals in the past month as I was an anxiety-ridden mess wondering where my passport was. Reddit actually has a lot on what a mess the whole thing is right now. Bottom line, do it by mail (online portal is closed now anyways). If you can, go ahead and pay for expedited processing. If you want to add expedited afterwards, it takes a month now (they tell you this) to even add the expedited processing. It really just depends on what passport office processes it. Your renewal can go to any of them once you mail it in and the one that processes it may not be the one where it is printed. Some are faster and you get a less than one month turnaround for a regular processed renewal and others are taking four months. You never know. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat. Applied online Jan 7, marked received Jan 12 (so the clock starts here), paid for expedited, and nothing. Still "in process" nearly 10 weeks later. Getting stressed....

Which sailing will you be on? We are on Apex on the May 25 sailing.
