    Australia is at the end of the earth. We always have those long flights and still front up for more. At least I won't have my hideous flight till the end of my holiday. I checked instructions and we need to have our RAT test for Covid within 3 days of boarding.. See you real soon. Kay

    Halleluja. I am checked in. It only took all day. the check in page has us arriving on 5 May and refuses to change. I was advised to skip that part and was finally finished. Rather wobbly website? I chatted to a fellow from Philippines but he couldn't help. Very frustrating experience. See you on board. Kay

    more learning to be done. I love learning new things. Maybe that's why I travel. I had to translate for my husband; his Australian accent was so strong nobody could understand him. I also remember translating for some Chinese girls in France, and an English woman in Italy. Her efforts required her to yell louder if they didn't understand. Kay

    They went totally out of fashion after our then Prime Minister Tony Abbott wore them. These days the blokes wear very well covering board shorts

    The only port I have not been to is Moorea. I reckon you will be spoilt for choice with tour totes at each port. I'm not booking anything. You know we all walk upside down south of the equator. Kay

    Jetstar is the El Cheapo of Qantas. I missed a domestic flight with them by five minutes. No dice. Then their flight next day was delayed and I missed my connection. Too bad so sad. I did a 3.5 month trip once. That was a challenge. This time I'm away 8 weeks. At least I only fly one way[home]Kay

    Travel light. I never have more than 13 kilos. I f I can't carry it, it doesn't come. It will be Autumn, the best time of the year. We have just had a heat wave. the sea is warm and lovely. We will be long gone before Australia cools off. Aussies don't dress up much. Take it easy. Kay

    losing someone you love is always hard. My sister is not dying; she has dementia so is dying by degrees. It's horrid. Live while we can and do as much as we can. Blessings, Kay

    The train is not glamorous, but does cater to your basic needs, toilets and dining car, and the scenery is gorgeous. the bus is just the last little bit of the trip. Also swim at Bondi Beach [water is 24degrees Celsius now] and take the train to Blue Mountains just out of Sydney. See the Opera House and ride the ferries around Sydney Harbour. If you get a day pass you can do all that.

    I'm having a battle with reply to Blessed. Why not take the train from Sydney to Brisbane? You could probably stop off at towns along the way. It would be a way of taking more luggage too. Good luck. Kay

    Our first Sunday is in Noumea. I am planning to attend Mass at Notre Dame du Pacifique if I can find out what time that is. I'm not Catholic but have found it to be the best way to look at a cathedral [ and hear the singing] Kay
