  1. I totally understand. The staff caters to all needs, if they don't you get the head manager.

the words are do you mind if we join you, if they say yes, then you have to move on. yes means no Lol you sit down anyways , we know as long as it is not next to them a seat off. (smiling)

  2. First come first served bases, the way we all know when a table is occupied is not of the cards, stuff on it, it is the lil advertised plaque that gets tilted down.

if the plaque is not down its ......

  3. I take one slow step at a time, if it takes me ten minutes to get across the room I kid you not,

You can be seated watching everything happening in view, if it is a person looking for a seat, to trying to get help, and all we can do is complain about the topic of table hogs, the best thing one can do is not to book these giant cruise ships but a smaller one. you're dealing with 3000 people, what are you going to do when the newer ship comes out????

theater shows I have not heard people complain about going to both shows, hogging a show. Lol

this can go on and on and on.

sit ,relax enjoy away from the crowd., wherever a crowd is at you are going to have conflict they took the last piece of banana bread., there's more.. always going to be more.....

  4. On a recent cruise on Millennium, there was a note on the dailies that a certain section of the dining room was available for playing cards between meal times and I saw people using that space. But, I guess there are those who do not read the dailies.

thank you for this post, more what we're looking for. or we could ask the cruise directors staff, that can set up spot, that is what they are there for. love boat days

  5. ;)Yes on ships deck 9 called the card room, the tables there can be the standard but more today electronic one's and Do I start telling the people playing on them to get up and stop hogging it when the yare just playing cards?

the Silhouette is old style, the Equinox converted. correct me if I am wrong?

  6. What really annoys me is in the buffet is there are lots of empty tables around, we make your way to large table as we are a large family and 2 people go and sit there but opposite each other. Why!!!!!

    timing?

I may see exactly that when I walked in, but when finished my meal I may see different. the time I am there, differs from what others see and say as well

  7. been a pleasure, how ever you enjoy your cruise.a lot more to life then a hog -n-chair. (nice-n-kind) you never know.. Best advise, Mind your own business.

  8. I totally get the picture, and understanding.

For having a ship with towels at 6:AM tells not that the Staff are not doing their job by having a clean ship when &:AM breakfast bell rings. the Pool deck can be off limits till 10:AM Official opening time, but no one follows rules to start with.

Actually what time does the Pool area open. It sure closes when lights are out and saying 11:PM or so netted

I think the conversation centers around people who leave "stuff" in chairs and then depart. The ones who are actually sitting and using a chair is fine and for as long as they want (with appropriate food breaks of course so starvation doesn't set in)!!

Look at some of the pictures posted with hundreds of EMPTY chairs that have towels draped on them starting at 6-7 AM and no people for hours............if ever.

Cruise lines have no interest in enforcing chair policies.........no money and only conflicts in that!!!

You are welcomed do not worry about who what when why.....

there is plenty of shade all over, and chairs. enjoy your cruise we got nothing better to do but hog the threads Lol

Peace all have a great time

  9. do they ever run out of towels, no so they will never run out of hoggers. the one thing that was said they run out of of is politeness. something that can not be taught here Lol

  10. Actually yes I go to play pool, and I played from opening to closing. and the owner never charged us why, we brought in a crowd, making the place look busy. and we did this for many months so I am a regular on it.

Yes there are those times we know to not exceed the limit, and know when it is right or wrong, but there are the few that just don't see any side t othe story here.

  11. I couldn't agree more. I don't understand the folks on here who argue it's OK for people to occupy a restaurant table for a whole day because they are old, saying we should respect the elderly. I have seen plenty of younger folks do the same and more importantly, there is no age above which it is OK to be rude. There's plenty of places on the ship where you can sit to read, play cards or do whatever. A dining venue isn't such a place. Do these folks hang out at a table at TGI Friday's all day when ashore?! And to the poster who said we can always ask her grandmother to share, I'm not interested in having lunch with your or anyone's grand mother either. I'm on vacation to spend quality time with my friends and family.

young adult that just politely gets up when they see some one no matter who they are... use that scenario.

And there are no more words to be said

  12. I will rephrase it for you.

I sat down, had breakfast or lunch not dinner, I do that at the MDR (me)

I spend 30 minutes tops, more than enough time. I get up from an empty table. push my chair in and off I go. to where I need to be at.

I pass a table of people playing games. I don't stare I walk pass and keep walking. It's not me. does not concern me. and has not a thing to do with me. I mind my Bees & que's

For many in here it seems to be a problem, period. I already said my peace.

I rather see some one in an open area where many people are at then to be in a locked room, you never will know what can happen and to be in a public placeis best to be observing .

You are a very observant person, to pick on any character in a note, if you find something to not your liking get the staff. moving along is the best thing one can do.

  13. If it is an Elderly I do not mind. I understand we all wan to sit and eat but its a first come first serve bases right, and if some one is going to sit all day at the same table I have to say time to get the Staff. Its grab a meal eat and leave not make it your home.

In the Buffet café Ocean café. as long as like said the Elderly are not in any one's way move on and leave be. down on Deck 9 the card room at times you can't even get a table Lol

  14. Water makes for the best bagels, Chicago, Ney York Pizza this is not. I am sure the Kids will enjoy no matter if it is home made to store bought as long as their Parants don't make a fuss about it? Start to make a fuss about things you see what happens people start to find an excuse to say what they like better than. If the Piza is not to your liking you have pasta and sauce or better yet do they have cheese and macroni?

  15. bagel, sauce and cheese. And you can make your own pizza? (grin)

We all crave for some type of fixing, a hamburger or dog, is not one of them, sitting in the dish with the others, still the pizza will win and a salad along with it. on what used to be called Formal night. you will see me upstairs plate in hand with three slices then some hybrid lobster tail? (smiles)

I love my Pizza and tomorrow I will have some again.

I won't stop and get ice cream at he same time Lol both my favorites are to close. maybe hours later Lol

  16. My post is somehow being deleted by.....

The past number of cruises, the Pizza station has expanded, they increased the size of the Station. if you like to get a whole Pie which does not feed a lot but for sure two people with a salad. Ask for a Pie, and tell them what you want, and they will make it for you.

When on the Sea, anything can taste great,
