  1. First up, I apologise as this is probably the wrong thread to ask this question. It's regarding the Ports and towns of South Africa, for the South African Intensive Voyage. We really fancy this itinerary and intend to book it, Mrs Rubyclaret though has read some reviews, probably on FB, that some of the Ports and Towns are a bit dodgy to walk around once leaving the Ship. We don't want to go on excursions on every stop, we like to walk round Town, perhaps trying a local bar or restaurant. From past experience do you think it is wise to walk freely around town or is there places that are a NoNo. We would really appreciate any advice. I posted this on the African Thread but to no avail, so trying on here. Thank you.
  2. Not a Township Tour but, we like to go off on our own when arriving in Port, sampling a local bar or Restaurant. Do you think it is safe to do so in the Ports and Towns of South Africa. Is there any Port where it's a No No. Thank you.
  3. Has anyone used and can recommend a good Company, for day trips in and out of Cape Town. Thank You
  4. Thanks for the reply Billybob. We are on Azamara so looking for some day trips from Cape Town prior to the Cruise. Enjoy your Cruise.
  5. Could you please tell us who you booked your trips to the Winelands and the Safari with Billybob. We are planning to do something similar with 3 days before a cruise. Thanks.
  6. We too watch with great interest Paul and Carole 's vlogs, they give good honest opinions of the cruises they are on. If there is a particular problem on Azamara, well good on them for highlighting it.
  7. Thanks Benthayer Gonbak & Vivasea for your advise....yeah we will certainly be aiming for a couple of days in Buenos Aries. Thanks.
  8. Nothing booked at the moment but looking at Feb 2024. We like the look of The Rio Carnival cruise on Quest. Anyone done this cruise previously and can give us any advise ? We've never been to S America. Regards Paul & Patricia.
  9. Are you willing to elaborate why Marella was the worst experience Ray....we too are thinking of a Marella Cruise for the 1st time. Thanks.
  10. That's great Combine, thanks for your help. I've just looked and found our points (not many but it's a start 😄) Didn't realise the points went off the type of cabin you purchased. Regards Rubyclaret...Trish & Paul.
  11. Hi. Please excuse us for appearing a little numb, just wondering how Loyalty Points work. We've only cruised the once before with Azamara, but we are looking to book another in the not too distant future. Would we be eligible to any Loyalty Points because of our previous cruise ? Is that how it works ? How do you accumulate Points ? Thanks Azamara cruisers. Regards Rubyclaret...Trish & Paul
