  1. You should look NOW.... For our cruise in 3 weeks, no luck, but for our cruise next May the sale is $6.99+ per day
  2. We will be in St Georges, Grenada on 26 Nov (X Silhouette). We are taking a ship excursion - Chocolate SPice Cultural Experience. We report back here once we complete this tour...
  3. We will be stopping in Tobago 25 Nov on X Silhouette. We are doing a ship excursion to Club Pigeon Point Beach. I will report back (to include mine and others experiences)
  4. Agree with Tyler414. We always choose premium and are happy we do. Well worth it In Our Opinion....
  5. We are at Marriott Beach Towers (or something like <) We've always done 17th street area and now we're adding an extra sun/beach day at this location. Pretty sure we'll opt for Italian but could be seafood ๐Ÿ™‚ Either way.. We enjoy the ride ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. I stayed at the Hilton Marina recently. It is a 'convention' hotel. The Convention center is walking distance to this hotel. It is really not set up for a tourist or cruise hotel. I am a Hilton Honors person for many years - stay away from this one if you are cruising. That said, you can walk to the Boatyard restaurant , which has great happy hour specials!
  7. Besides the question about availability with wine and bourbon- is bar service so slow that we wonโ€™t get any use out of the premium package and will just be thirsty the entire time?! * There plenty of bars on the ship and waitstaff. We always enjoy having the premium package * This will start a thread highjack, but I always tip early and often and get to know the bartenders. ๐Ÿ™‚ * They will remember you and what you order. Luminae: are the entrees as weird as they sound in the descriptions? Can we order easily from the MDR? From the kids menu? (I keep reading that the kids filet is delicious!) * Yes - the entrees are 'not to our liking' (JMO) * Yes - you can order from main dininig and kids menus. * PS - we find ourselves now booking non-suite class and getting specialty dining for most nights _ we prefer this over Luminae. What will our retreat host do? Nothing? Everything? * They will help you when you ask. Not much for them really if you are self sufficient. What is the passenger count? Will the internet speed bring back painful memories of connecting to the dial-up internet on our landlines during high school? * Yes How many chair hogs will take over the chairs on the retreat deck? * Depends. No pool there, so many will opt out. Also, very windy at sea. Your age crowd with family will probably prefer the main pool areas. Will we run into the poles in our Sky Suite? * Depends - but probably What type of furniture will be on our balcony? * asked and answered above. Looks just like our aft Sky suite furniture on Silly Nov'21 Kids in the Solarium? Will I need to use my โ€œteacherโ€ voice? That rarely gets used during the summer.
  8. That is a great location. You can walk to dinner... Bistro Mezzaluna for Italian Several seafood places right across 17th Street. Also, there is a publix, wine store, several coffee shops, pretty much adjacent to the Embassy suites parking lot.
  9. As a retreat guest... you may ask to dine in Blu (space available). take advantage of early debarkation from the retreat lounge. you have access to an enhanced in room breakfast menu.
  10. I found this doing a recent search.... The Jolly Beach Resort has been closed since March of 2020 and the government had been searching for a new investor in the hopes to save the jobs for the 500 people sent home from the property but that has not been forthcoming.Feb 2, 2022 Other posts seem to confirm the findings.
