We did Spectrum of the seas from Dubai to Singapore in May and loved the ship, it was also a "Ultra". We never felt like it was too enclosed there are many places to go and things to do. It will be interesting to see what they have on it as Spectrum was tailored for the Chinese market

I can't wait and see the difference will be...

I have had the same problem a couple of times where when I ask for refundable they go ahead and make it non refundable.  I ALWAYS cancel that one as I could foresee problems down the line when and if you go to change it and they look it up and say that at one point it was nonrefundable.  Better safe than sorry

I know I wasn't going to take a chance...and figured it was just done better to call back and make sure.

Not that I don't trust them...

I have learned a lot over the years to keep making sure things are good if you change things or you book reservations I will keep checking on them....

I just had a nightmare with "Trivago...a site(hotelsforeveryone) they took me to feeling it was safe and back them up.

Well make story short had a reservation number and all booked year ahead of time and was checking back and to find out the company that did the reservation went out of business and called the hotel and didn't have any reservation they had canceled it.  I had paid it ahead ...now so far trivago did stand behind me if I don't get my money back from my credit card they will step up.  But if I was one just to show up I wouldn't of had a hotel room on Valentines Night before cruise.

  3. I also asked an agent because I had a refundable cruise and called to get the latest special well she messed it up and went to NRD and said she had to put me on hold....so said it was fixed. (they ended up having to cancel it...some way no charge was not my fault...I made sure couple times telling her I don't want the special if it will take my refundable deposit away!   I was bad and called back to make sure I didn't see it either and it is that if it is NRD will list the fee's.

I felt $94 extra for 3 of us on a cruise Jan 2021 for my daughters graduation gift from college was worth it...cause too many things can change and I wanted a certain room.  When you have to put all your information in and at the end it will ask if you want refundable deposit and tell how much it will cost.  I have noticed the rate varies per cruise and how what kind of room you get.

Well you're post is in the correct place now.

There are no rental agencies "in" Port Everglades.

There are several just outside the port gate or very near by. Ones we have used are Dollar/Thrifty (closest one just outside the gate)......Budget on 17th Street (just a few minutes away).

Both of these will have a complimentary quick and easy shuttle to your ship.

Easy to return your car .... you absolutely don't have to go back to the airport...just make this designation when you book your car.

You also might try pricing your rental with Costco if you're a member. This is where we usually get our best rates.

    Best of luck !!

What is the location for the Dollar/Thrifty address to use.  We want to get a car after a cruise next Feb and then 2 days later return it to the airport site

    thank you,

We never heard any fitness center noise or experienced any odors from spa. The sideways cabins are great! If I remember correctly most recently we had the second of the four cabins but would book any of the first three if available and even the one closest to the side door/gym if that was the only one left, we like the sideways cabins so much. (We always book Interior Cabins and there are not many of them on the ships.) I do not believe the Spa Cabins mean a discount for spa services. And we did not do any free classes. As I said though my husband often used the spa showers - actually so did I - throughout the cruise - more spacious, lots of towels - throw on your robe and off go.

    Thank you

  6. Thank you,

Was it noisy from the fitness center at all?  Also was there any werid smell come to your room from the spa at all?

I am going to book on Deck 12 all 4 of the rooms that are sideways are avaliable.  I even got DH excited about the room and features.   So did they give you much of a discount if you got any spa treatments?  Then did you do any of the free classes that it says you get?  LOL

We always book a Cloud 9 cabin on ships that have them. They are well worth the price if you like to spend time in the thermal suite (heated lounge chairs, sauna and steam rooms). Magic also has a thalassotherapy pool, which I have always used every day every time I have cruised on Magic (and Breeze too).

I am anxious to hear this...now which floor would you pick deck 11 or 12 interior Cloud 9 room?

We had the first two deck 12 spa interior portside cabins forward of the elevators on the Breeze.  They were the sideways cabins.  They felt adequately spacious.

In addition to Elemis amenities you get spa passes for two 18 or older passengers to the saunas, loungers, and T-pool.  If access to these areas interests you they are definitely worth the upcharge.  Very close to the private elevator to the Serenity Deck and to the open gym.  Very quiet.  Very convenient to Atrium elevators.

If the Breeze ever returns to Galveston I would book those cabins again.

I greatly enjoyed both aft-extended and cove balconies on the Breeze.  For dollars spent these spa interiors were probably the best value.

So what are the loungers like are they a heated type? Never been on one.

The T-pool only used then by spa patrons that is it whirlpool like?

Sorry so many questions but thinking about upgrading to that...its our 40th Anniversary!

I just got back from 7 days on the Breeze this Saturday. We had a Spa balcony and for the first time ever the noise was awful! The room next door was full of kids, slamming doors ,etc. The room did have the swing arm mirror mentioned in the first post. Going back to a Spa interior room for September's Bermuda cruise.

So then you have had a interior spa room before?  So what you get free as a benefit of that room?  Is it easy to use and not so busy that you really don't get to enjoy the benefits?  I have not been on a carnival ship with this so not really sure what to expect?

    thank you

  10. we are thinking of a inside cabin that is the vertical looking at the ship.  I didn't know if how the layout makes it harder or nicer.   We was looking on deck 6 in the aft....any thoughts?  Also are the Cloud 9 rooms worth the cost for the benefits?

We are looking to go on this ship for the first time.  We have only done one Carnival ship and after years we've decided to try one agian.

    thank you
