If you have a Boardwalk cabin on the Oasis size ships you will get a free meal for 4 at Johnny Rockets. One of the perks offered for booking one of those rooms.
Yes, and looking forward to this perk...I know the shakes most likely will not be included! But will use my BOGO

Now I didn't think I did bad last week booking for the Allure of the Sea's Oct 2017 for a boardwalk balcony $574 pp for 7day and you get the 2 free soda cards, Johnny Rockets for 4 ...but there is only 2 of us! LOL ...then don't really know what the rock climbing wall session is going to be included in that price.
But I have seen an increase over the years....but what hasn't to us it is still the good value vacation. LOVE TO CRUISE is my middle name...lol

I am right there with you on the feeling of 1100. I only got to have it for a 5 day cruise on the Brilliance but LOVED it!!!!
-
We also love that cabin and have it on our Jewel TA/Greek cruise in April. Fantastic 22 days!
oh wow I would love to have it for 22 days!!! I only had it for a 5 day cruise!

I am going on the Serenade of the Sea in Feb and thinking about doing the mystery dinner and didn't know if anyone has done it lately?
What is the meal like and what it covers?
-
Well we ended up being charged $13.50 pp per day for our junior suite on the Brilliance. I LOVED the room 1100 corner aft cabin!

We did this excursion back in April. I really enjoyed it. You have to walk to the dune buggies and it was a bit of a walk but not terrible. There is no beach riding (a typical thought when you think of a dune buggy) but we did stop at a nice beach for a while. It was nice because we had the breeze and got to see parts of Cozumel that we hadn't seen yet. We would do it again.
I am glad to hear that, we are doing this excursion Nov 8th on the Brilliance of the sea it is called Dune Buggy Snorkel and Beach .

If you prepay them then my guess would be the 13. Not sure about come November. Hopefully it will still be the 13 if you wait

I hope also that they will still be the $13.50 I have a lot of onboard credit and want to use it for that.
-
Well this is funny. The confirmation says the 16 but if you divide it equals the 13. Go figure. Another lovely RC flub. We paid 67.50 for the 5 nighta

ok thank you for letting me know...so we can hope for our 5 night one in Nov it will be the $13.50 also...
-
Your gratuities will show up on your Confirmation Invoice from RCI. Just divide the number of days into the amount to get a pp figure.
I didn't prepay and just was wondering what it was that going to be charged daily.
-
I will call RC since it was booked through them. Thank you[emoji106]

Have to let me know what they say for you if you don't mind.

$13.50 per person per day.
Thank you, I was making sure has been awhile since I have had a junior suite and have one coming up in Nov and can't wait....lol
-
Can someone that has been in a Junior Suite lately is the gratuity $16.50 or $13.50? Thank you
-
Thank you for the review and pictures..can't wait to follow you! Love the freedom and will be on her once again in Nov.:)

The first post in this thread is mine and is the review of our 1/2 day in Tortola.
All the "Island tour busses" go ( to my knowledge ) to the same stops. Every where we went and stopped there were busses going and coming.
At the beach there were plenty of tour busses also.
Have fun !
ok notice that now...I did really like your review and will take note if it is not an open bus type I will say something I don't want in a taxi. I am really looking forward to the port.
-
I am a planner as well...but I was very pleased with my "spur of the moment thing " on my first visit there.
Next time in Tortola I will do the same thing; walk off the ship to the parking lot, choose a tour, talk to the person managing the tours and have a seat in the van indicated...easy and worry-less !!!
I WILL be back in Tortola...it was beautiful !!!
Have fun !!!
Thank you, so you don't have to worry about the tour guides that you end up with then. So what did they take you to see and how long would you say your tour was? Thank you once again.:)
-
So then if you would want just an island tour for our first visit here in Feb 2017...best recommendation is just wait until I get there and off the ship will find them. Instead of booking with a certain tour agent ahead of time. I am planner...and have my brother, his wife and teenage daughter going with us so will be 5 of us! Thank you!

I had the hump cabin twice and they just closed the door to go back the hall and filtered out the noise that we didn't hear it in our room. We loved the extra larger balcony. The one time it had the lounge chair there and the second time I had to ask if I could get one and our room attendant was amazing in 10 min. he had one for me!

You make a valid point. However, I'm still of the opinion that it is still safer to get to the port city a day ahead, just in case. However, ^&*% does happen from time to time, so the best approach is to have travel insurance, just in case.
Rick
I normally always fly in the day before and due to RCI cancel my cruise to being chartered and the replacement day we had to fly in due to my husband's work could not get off. But I would never do it with out travel insurance!!!
-
Well I guess no one has done this excursion...but we are going to do it so I will make sure to come back and give a review of what I thought of it!
-
Best thing we've done and had a great time was horseback riding at Gold mine ranch!
-
Has anyone done window caves ...we would like to try and do it this November through Royal Caribbean cruise excursion!
-
I was interested in knowing if anyone has done the Window Caves excursion with Royal Caribbean.
Concern when in the posting of description:
Upon entering the chamber, ........ Cave creatures like Puerto Rican boas, spiders, lizards, bats, and other little critters may welcome you.
PUERTO RICON BOAS...sounds like a concern do I have to worry about that much?
That I didn't know if the view is worth it.
I know that the ride to there is long, but have been to San Juan many times and have only done Old San Juan and want to do something different.
-
I always book when they are released then if I have to change I still can.
I also try to book onboard like a lot of had said they do.
We have our April 2018 cruises booked May 5th 2016 so almost 2years ahead of time.
Best rooms and most of time the best price, but continue to keep looking for lower prices.
