  1. If the old terminal is still in operation, you make a left coming out of customs and go to the end of the tent. If the new terminal is open, you'll have to ask.

Livery service from Cape Liberty is big business for Bayonne. I think it attracts every local with a livery license to operate in Bayonne. The dispatcher quote prices to everyone and assigns them to the vehicles they request. It will be interesting to here how the system works with a ship a large as the Quantum arriving at CL. It will also be interesting if the prices are higher.

Could you post back your experience? Many folks want to know how things will work, but of course no one can say yet. I don't sail on the Q until Jan.

will let you know.. how long does it take to get from the pier to newark?

  2. We booked the 5 night Bermuda cruise on Liberty out of Cape Liberty on 9/5/15. The more I read about Bermuda weather in September, the more concerned I get. I definitely do not want to end up in Canada due to a storm. I understand this is a risk you take with cruising, but September looks particularly risky. Would you cancel or take the chance of being rerouted due to a hurricane?

HEY! whats wrong with canada? :P we canadians are friendly!

  3. Hi all,

I'll be assisting in re-positioning/bringing Quantum to American :) on her 'true' maiden voyage on Nov 2nd arriving at Cape Liberty on the morning of Nov 10th. My party is a party of 3, what is the most economical/reliable way to get to Newark Airport? Are there shuttles or taxi stands... and if so how much would it cost?

Thanks in advance... I know there are other posts and Newark as some have said its much of a DIY project...

  4. I feel sorry for ME. I love dressing up so much, but my other half hates it with a passion. So, when there was a designated formal night, I had a half reasonable odds of getting him to wear a tux - because everyone else was.... Now there is no specified night, what do you think my chances are? I know what they are - NIL.

But what can you do eh? You can't say anything to anybody because it smacks of being a princess who is complaining because her tiara doesnt have the right shape diamonds to match her earrings.

I know I can moan here though because there are people who will understand.

Compromise, two dinners each night! ;)

  5. i know the official RCCL policy is no non-alcoholic drinks are allowed to brought on board but I've read a lot of people have success in doing so (but the threads were from back in 2011).

Just curious, has anyone been able to bring sodas/water bottles on board and if so, did you do anything special to 'conceal' or did you just slap a label on the box of water/soda.

    Thanks!
