dining solo in specialty restaurants
cruisin from vegas replied to nancy1031's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Solo last week.. Jijis. Steakhouse. Italian and Teppanyaki.. all fabulous experiences -
Nope. 2021 on Breeze and 2022 on Horizon..
-
Yes most are very close together. However, I travel solo and always ask for one along the railing. I’m willing to wait if necessary, but never do. Just ask when you get to the desk, or if they take you to one you don’t like just say no and they will a accommodate you. The ones along the walls or railings are great.

My Brief-ish Thoughts on Horizon 8 Day S. Caribbean
cruisin from vegas replied to Ariel0185's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Was on The Horizon in July. Loved it except everywhere was HOT!! Everywhere. I’m from Vegas and love heat… but this was stifling. I seen this said repeatedly for years.. -

cruisin from vegas replied to cruisin from vegas's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Lol! That’s a good point! I’ve lived all my life in So. California or Las Vegas. so anything below 70 degrees for me. It was low 50s most of the time -
Radiance short review/summary
cruisin from vegas replied to cruisin from vegas's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes !! That’s when I had it!! -
Just off the Radiance this morning (3 day). This was my 4th since the restart, very enjoyable and lovely ship - the others were Panorama, Horizon and The Breeze. I must say I am partial to the Vista class. This ship is smaller, less venues, less amenities. She is older but in good shape since her remodel. Staff was excellent as usual.. WiFi was the worst I’ve ever experienced on a ship, they did give a lot of refunds. Ship at full+ capacity. Weather was clear but cold. Did not get off ship in Ensenada, been there many times. Holiday weekend sailings are never the best, but the kids were behaved for the most part. I thought the lido deck food was better than the Horizon and the mdr was good as usual. Nice 3 day break and from my local port (I live in Vegas but from So California). I’d sail her again, just not on a holiday and when it’s warmer. Next trip Panorama in July . Any questions just ask

Of course my next sailing starts 11/25, bummer I do use it.

Yeah your back!!! When I heard about the flaming tomato soup being back…. I immediately thought of you!! Lol. Can’t wait to follow along and hear especially about HMC.. I’m next just doing a 3 day out of Long Beach (closest port) Thanksgiving weekend. But still excited. Have a great time!! -
Carnival Spa - What do you do?
cruisin from vegas replied to CGrey93's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I tell them right up front, very politely…. “I’m not at all interested in any products, so I respectfully ask that you don’t bring them up, unless I ask you about something. Thank you so very much, I really need this massage and to relax without anxiety “. Has never been a problem so far. -
They had the chia seed on Horizon last month, but I don’t see it now? Bummer They tried to seat me at a shared table or in someone’s lap every single time on Horizon last month…. Nope!! I travel solo for a reason…. Wouldn’t accept and said two top by the wall only .. they accommodated, but it was every single time

For recent passengers on The Radiance , 3-day, two questions.. 1.) What MDR is used for Your Time Dining? 2.) Which playlist show(s) were presented? Thank you in advance!!

Probably not open yet. I was on that sailing last February.. they weren’t offered until later.. they also added many excursions closer to the sailing. Just keep watching . -
Carnival Kitchen on the Panorama
cruisin from vegas replied to kona_wahine's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Absolutely sign up before, they usually all sell out. You find them under the dining options. I loved it!! Did the pasta class on the Panorama (my favorite ship) it was really fun, learned to hand make pasta and it was delicious!! I wanted to do cupcake one but I had a conflict -
The more I read this review, the more jealous I get…. Lol. I live in Vegas and I never think of going out of NYC for some reason? I love this city.. even have friends there. I just looked at flights and they are definitely less expensive than Miami.. I also travel solo (mostly); thank you for reminding me about this option!!! Love your review as always, can’t wait for more!!

NCL drops vaccine requirement after September 3rd
cruisin from vegas replied to SeaPink0409's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I am not fearful for myself as I’ve repeatedly said. …. I currently have Covid from my Horizon sailing last week, of course I am vaccinated and boosted so my symptoms are mild. However I actually care about the employees and others all over the world that will be effected by another complete shutdown when the unvaccinated start dying on ships again. The vaccinated and unvaccinated are both just as susceptible to contacting Covid.. it’s the severity of the virus that is the issue . In just sorry that so many of you dont get this, are caught up in ridiculous conspiracy theories or just don’t care- 126 replies
