  1. I would love to do the behind the scenes tour someday! Lucky you! I was waiting for Captain Johnny to ride his Harley down the Royal Promenade on the last evening as he did on my last Allure cruise, but I didn't see it happen unless I missed it. I think he is terrific - very personable!

I heard He did take his Harley off the ship in Cozumel and went golfing.Yes He is a very personable and funny guy.

  2. On our last cruise, the waiters in the CL were fantastic and we tipped accordingly. As far as the concierge.....he never spoke to us nor did we see him interacting with the guests in the lounge. He basically spent his time at his desk looking at his computer. The only time we saw him visiting with guests were if someone initiated a conversation or asked him a question. No tip.

This wouldn't happen to be on the Allure would it?

  3. We just booked Allure for Sept (our first time on her) & we used a website that shall remain nameless to book our cruise & I was told that the only thing available is My Time Dining. We have never used this before & I see good & bad on it so I'm looking for helpful hints to try & make it go smoother. We've always had assigned time of the late seating (our preference as we like to go to the Diamond Lounge first for Happy Hour) so would it be better to try & book the times before we cruise online? If so, when? Or wait until we board? Any & all suggestions welcomed please!

I would pre book for the times you want as the Lines were long this week for MTD. Some days it was out the door luckily we had a gold card and were able to bypass the lines and be seated immediately.

  4. I've been studying pictures of the ship and think I have it figured out. Looks like deck 7 is well above the lifeboats so there should be no chance of obstructed view, correct?

Are the lifeboats below deck 6 or in line with deck 6?

I'm guessing being higher up in the same location, (7314), really isn't going to change much as far as seeing the water goes?

Thanks for any advice from people that stayed on or near my location.

we just got off the Allure today. We were in GS 6660.The location was perfect 3 rooms from the elevators, the boardwalk was steps away or you go up two flights to central park or go down one flight and your in the promenade right near the rising tide bar.The lifeboats were def not a problem either they are below deck 6 on the running track on deck 5 they are pretty much tucked underneath so your view would only be slightly obstructed only while looking straight down..I think 4 of them were up towards the front and one was to the rear of us.We heard no noise whatsoever in that area and would book that location again in a heartbeat. And Only on doorbell ringer the whole week.lol

  5. We will be on Oasis in June. First Royal Caribbean cruise:D:D

There are just 3 of us. And clearly, we have NO status with Royal.

How much per day per device? We all have Iphones too.

Assuming this is full internet, good for Facebook, etc?

    Thanks!!!!

Check your cruise planner I paid $10.50 for one device they also had 2 for $21 and 4 for $40.

  6. Is it possible to bring bottles of Braggs cider vinegar aboard? Or do you think I can request a cup of natural cider vinegar from the kitchen/room service every day? I don't know how to walk a bottle of vinegar into the ship from Venice. :p

I take 6 tablespoons everyday but I never bring it on the ship. I'm not eating very healthy anyway while on the cruise so I figure I can go a week without it.
