Hello, does anyone know if grey goose is included with the Premium Drink Package? I want to make sure all the expensive drinks are covered. Any specialty drinks that are not covered? Thanks for your feed back.
Yes grey goose, kettle one, belvedere all included. I drink bourbon so I had basil Hayden, knobb creek and makers mark. Not much isnt included except maybe some high end scotch.

Entertainment is available for booking on my 2016 Allure cruise but since I'll have a gold card do I have to reserve any of the shows. Thanks.
-
Just curious as to what is the protocol for the dirty dishes? Do you return them to WJ' date=' call the room service number or leave them in your room until your next steward visit? Our upcoming will be our first and would like to know what the polite thing to do is.[/quote']
We never put them in the hall your room steward will pick them up.

You can take food from the WJ to anywhere!...within reason! I wouldn't take it to the casino or a show....
You can take food or drink anywhere including casino and any show.

First time sailing Royal Caribbean in April 2014. Can anyone tell me if cruise has to be paid in full to be able to reserve dining or entertainment? Or does scheduling not open until 90 days prior when payment is due.
We're going April 3 2016 on the ALLURE we can book entertainment now but not dining.
-
How far out to they start taking reservations? Our group of 6 would like to do this, and since we have 5 sea days, I am pretty sure we should have this on our ship.
thanks for any info on this.
Not sure if you knew this but You have to look under activities in the cruise planner not dining to book it online.

True, they give you Jack Daniels if you ask for bourbon. Not the same.
They do have some good bourbons with the drink package knob creek, makers mark and my favorite basil Hayden.

I remember reading on someone's trip report that they would keep her for a possible Cuba itinerary.
The captain mentioned its possible they are keeping the Majesty for the cuba itinerary while we were at the captains lunch last week. But he noted that cuba has a long way to go before they will be able to take on thousands of people off a cruise ship.

It was fun to do once. We just did it a week ago Sunday. The food was tiger shrimp or filet. My wife said the shrimp was just ok but my steak was awesome. Free red or white wine.

As with so many things, I think it depends on who you get at the CS help desk. I have had both happen to me (losing the OBC and having it moved successfully to a new booking). I even had my OBC increased once when I moved from a 7 night booking that I made onboard to an 8 night booking...my OBC actually went UP $50 b/c the bonus for an 8 night was more than it was for a 7 night. So it just depends on who you get on the phone. Bottom line...I would not settle for the answer "no, you cannot move the OBC...you will lose it if you try". I KNOW it can be done so I would keep trying until you get someone who will move it for you.
Thanks I was thinking the same thing it seems to be who you get on the phone.

I make monthly payments through my TA. I email her tell her to take out a certain amount to make a payment and it shows up the next day on my Credit card.

If you came to Central Ohio last week you could have went to BaconFest!
On that note, there is an appetizer in the Chops (extra charge) restaurant. It was called Black Pepper Bacon. I thought that sounded unusual but another cruiser said it was good. The best way to describe it was BaconSteak! It was wonderful.
Bacon aside, I've done 14 days on Freedom and loved every one of them.
We ate in chops 3 times on the enchantment and i had pepper bacon all 3 times. It is so good.
-
It was my third time on Freedom and prior to sailing was somewhat
concerned about some of the negative comments about service, etc.
Here is what we found: Staff was amazing. Always friendly and willing
to help.
Bartenders and bar wait staff: Also amazing. They were quick, whether
it was a "diamond" drink or one we paid for. Plenty of waiters throughout
pool area to take your order.
Ship condition: Looked very good both public areas and our cabin.
Specialty restaurants: Ate in Chops, Sabor, and Giovanni's Table. Food
was top notch, and in fact then booked Sabor for lunch last sea day as we
wanted to sample more of their dishes. Great Margaritas
Cabin: The usual good condition we expect, except to note that the
shower was the best in any ship bath we've been in...very forceful.
I'm not going to mention the negatives, but will just comment on one
area...Main course in MDR - Jumbo shrimp - portion was 3 one-half
shrimp cut lengthwise...so actually l l/2 shrimp...really!!
**Have to say that the prime rib covered the plate and was wonderfully
medium rate** Other "meat" entrees also plenty generous.
(And yes we know we could have had another order of shrimp but with waiter
being very busy it would have taken too long)
Mojitos in Boleros...they make a great mojito, except that again the size
was so small...after you take out the lime and mint, was probably 3 mouthfuls.
This drink was definitely not worth the $10 plus tax and gratuity they charge.
Captain Ron Holmes was great, keeping us informed along the way how
Joaquin could affect us...but it was just quite windy last night out.
Book Freedom with confidence that you're going to have a great time.
We had a great time also.It was one of the best cruises we had in a long time. The only problem we had was when we went to get our luggage someone had taken my garment bag(suit, tux, dress shirts, ties). The reason i knew was because there was one sitting there that was exactly like mine and that person had no other luggage there and no phone number on his bag.Luckily he had called me that afternoon saying he had my bag and he also lived in florida. The strange part is we met them in the concierge lounge on the first day and saw them all cruise. But other than that we had a great time.Did you ever try the frozen mojitos?they are delicious.

As Bob said, the OBC "belongs" to a certain booking number. You can't move it to a different booking number.
I Understand now Thanks
-
The only way that could have worked is if you took the OBC immediately, took it out as cash (losing 5%), and then took the cash and bought OBC for a different cruise.
I guess you also could have cancelled the Allure cruise and rebooked on board, but then you would be priced at current rates.
Ok thanks Bob.The current price for our Allure cruise went up $1800
-
Depends on the kind of OBC.
If the OBC is from Visa points, then this can be moved to a different cruise.
If the OBC is from booking on board or a WOW sale, then this is tied to a specific booking number and cannot be moved. You can change the booking to another cruise, but you would likely lose the OBC unless the same type of WOW sale is going on. Changing the cruise on a booking made on board may or may not keep the OBC or severely reduce the OBC, that seems to be at the whim of Royal these days.
When i booked the 2 cruises onboard they were going to credit my seapass account the $500 OBC for the cruise i was on at the time but i told them to just leave it on the other 2 cruises and i didnt need any more credit for the cruise i was on.But my intention all along was to move it to the Allure cruise because i didnt have any OBC for that one.
-
I booked an 8 night cruise while on board last week for 2017 and received $300 OBC.I called royal to move that $ to my April 2016 cruise on the Allure because i dont have any OBC .Then while on the Allure i was going to book another one and move that OBC to the 2017 cruise. They said they no longer move OBC to an existing booking. Is this something new?I always thought you can move you OBC around. Thanks

Mine was there Sunday by the time I got home and that was only an hour drive.

Go out to the helipad on the bow of the ship. There are benches out there to sit and relax if it's not to windy. We watched the eclipse from there last week. Walk forward on deck 4 then go up the stairs.
Has anyone else stopped recommending RCI to people?
