  1. Correct me if I am wrong but eating at a table with tablecloth silverwear goes onto table cloth between bites. I do expect restaurant to put out new clean tablecloth for next diner.

Stu, you are wrong. Utensils stay on the plate "between bites" and are not placed on the tablecloth where dining etiquette matters. But hey, it's Carnival, not a state dinner. If I had put my gravy laden utensils on my grandmother's tablecloth between bites on Thanksgiving I would have been told not to.

  2. I guess this is one of the reasons why we like booking aft balconies...lower incidence of crying babies or small children. Nothing against kids, we love them, but don't see a lot of families booking into these rooms.

We encourage families with young children to book aft balconies, our little grand kids prefer them. Keys2AftBalcony :p

OP, we have had empty cabins next to us, most often on Fantasy class inside cabins but twice on aft balcony Spirit Class ships.

  3.

??Why do "conspiracy" theories about everything purchased abroad seem to raise their heads on this site?

and why do posts that have nothing to do with Carnival Cruise Line get posted on this forum?

  4. Welcome-

If you go to the homeport departure forum for the port you are sailing from here on Cruise Critic you will find information on hotels and the like. Carnival Cruise Line doesn't own or operate hotels in the U.S.

  5. Yup.. because we actual pay restaurant staff a minimum wage, no different than any other minimum wage job.

I do tip...just as I want and who I want and how much I want.. not who Carnival or other passengers tell me too!

Therein is the difference between there and here: here in the states persons working for tips are not paid a wage designed for them to live on and make less than the minimum wage. They depend on tips to earn a livable wage unlike in Canada. We have a two tiered system of wages: one for non-tipped and one for tipped. Did you know this? Here there is a very BIG difference in wages and the crew on ships have it worse earning room, board and about $50 per month. Do what you want lady, I'm here to share the facts, not change your opinion.
