  1. Was there any charge to participate in Press Your Luck? I've seen on the dailies where you can sign up, but no mention of cost (if any). Did you watch it? I've watched it on TV and just curious as to how they work it. Enjoying the review--thanks for doing it.
  2. @ColdCruise will you be posting any Freestyle Dailies? I’m mostly interested in the embarkation one. I like to see what, where, and when I need to go to get the first day things done (like booking shows, etc). Also thanks for posting a pic of the inside cabin—I am sharing one with my adult son in a couple of weeks.
  3. I've done it on other cruise lines--never hurts to ask. Call your consultant.
  4. My last cruise we were 4 decks up from a smoking area and it did affect the enjoyment of my balcony. I’m hoping to pick a better location for us this time. Do you know what side smoking is allowed on deck 5?
  5. Where are the outside smoking areas on Freedom of the Seas? I'm trying to pick my cabin location and it would be helpful to know. TIA
  6. After posting this question, I came across another post that made it sound like different length sailings had different point requirements--which makes sense. I appreciate you replying back. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  7. @JamieLogical I know you're onboard the Meraviglia right now, and if you think about it the next time you go to the casino, could you ask the casino host about the question I asked above? I always enjoy reading your posts and I will totally understand if you aren't able to get around to this. Enjoy the rest of your cruise 🙂
  8. I was on the Seascape recently, and as you said the buffet is extremely busy, but I did not wait an hour for anything. I will say the line to get made to order omelets was long, and I chose not to stand and wait for that--maybe that is where the hour long queues were??? You can also eat breakfast at the Green Wave MDR. The attitude you go in with is everything--enjoy your cruise 🙂
  9. I am considering a similar 10 day cruise, which is also listed as a 3 day and 7 day--basically a b2b. Does anyone know when you book it as a 10 day cruise, do your casino points accumulate for the whole 10 days, or do they split into accumulating as 3 and 7 day cruises? Date Port Arrive Depart Thursday, December 7 Port Canaveral, FL 6:00pm Friday, December 8 Nassau, Bahamas Noon 7:00pm Saturday, December 9 Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, Bahamas 7:00am 6:00pm Sunday, December 10 Port Canaveral, FL 7:00am 6:00pm Monday, December 11 Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, Bahamas 7:00am Tuesday, December 12 Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, Bahamas Noon Wednesday, December 13 At Sea Thursday, December 14 Costa Maya, Mexico 8:00am 6:00pm Friday, December 15 Cozumel, Mexico 7:00am 5:00pm Saturday, December 16 At Sea Sunday, December 17 Port Canaveral, FL 7:00am
  10. Looks like November 16th.
  11. I know it wasn't when I was on it a couple of years ago but I hope someone who has been on it recently can chime in with the current regulations.
  12. I did read that they had done that. I wish they had done what they did on the Seascape, but at least it is an option for nonsmokers to have somewhere to gamble smoke-free.
  13. We recently sailed on the Seascape. They had just completed renovations in the Sports Bar where they enclosed a room next to the sports bar with slot machines in it where smoking is allowed--smoking is no longer allowed in the main casino. Does anyone know if they are planning these same renovations on other ships (specifically the ones departing from the USA)?
  14. I’m currently on the Seascape—yes you can use cash.
  15. This is what I was hoping 😀. Thank you so much!
  16. We are thinking of taking one of the taxis at the cruise port (Havensight dock) to Sapphire Beach. Will there be taxis at Sapphire Beach that we can take back to the cruise port? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  17. @cnice515 did you do this tour? We are looking at doing it next year. Would love to know your opinion on if it was worth the cost.
  18. I posted in the Disabled Cruising board but thought I might get more views and answers here. We are looking at getting a scooter (first time) for my mother-in-law for a family cruise in February. Is there any difference between renting from Scootaround or Special Needs at Sea? We will be sailing on NCL Encore out of Miami. I would appreciate any insight. TIA.

  21. I don’t see any email addresses for an appropriate department. Here is the mailing address and phone numbers for reservations and corporate. Best I can do.
  22. I’m guessing your web browser is redirecting you to the UK site. If you let me know what you need help with I’ll see if I can find the email address for you.
  23. That sounds logical to me. And I hadn't even given it a thought until came across this information I read on the Port of Quebec website (https://www.portquebec.ca/en/cruises/information-for-cruise-ship-passengers/boarding) so it got me wondering lol. ARRIVAL IN QUEBEC CITY (DISEMBARKING TIPS) Most passengers leave the ship between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Customs control is carried out at the first Canadian port the cruise ship reaches. Your cruise line will provide more information depending on your itinerary. Luggage porters are available to help transfer your bags to the bus, limousine, taxi, or personal vehicle. Tipping is optional. For relatives and friends picking up passengers, there are several parking lots in the sector. Go to parkindigo.ca and ville.quebec.qc.ca for options in the area. Explore beautiful Quebec City while you’re here! Go to quebecregion.com.
  24. Excellent. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm anticipating this will be our experience too.
  25. Will everyone have to clear customs before they let anyone exit the ship? Do you have to signup for a customs appointment? I read how on a recent Pearl Bermuda sailing, there were long lines to turn your customs form in (I think they had to signup for a time) and cruisers were held up from exiting the ship at Bar Harbor and a lot of port time was missed. With Bar Harbor being a tender port, this made the tender process a royal mess. I'm hoping since Halifax is a docking port, it won't be as much of an issue. Just trying to get the process down in my head so I can make a plan and be mentally prepared lol.
