On the Transatlantic in November, I don’t remember an offer for another option, I may have missed it but there were 5 of us over 2 suites and got a table no issues. David was a great concierge, if you get him you’ll have a great time.

Generally if the weather is cold, American Diner is not offered day one. Another option we enjoy (even if we are staying in the Haven) is Taste or Savor for lunch since the Haven lunch menu never changes. Dilip Lopes is the current concierge on Escape and is absolutely wonderful.

  2. You can coordinate decorations and an anniversary cake through the concierge free of charge and order a bottle of wine at the Haven bar.  Ask the bartender to give it to your butler to serve at your dinner. There are some very nice selections well under $100/bottle. No need to pre-order online.

As for dinner, I'd argue that you will get a better steak/meal ordering from the Haven restaurant and save using your dining package or Latitudes meal coupon.

Enjoy your cruise and Happy Anniversary!

Apparently you don't have to use your real name for the Ambassador pin.

GodEmperor, I Like Ice Cream, Bad at Poker, etc.
    Soooo many possibilities 😄

Wish I'd thought of this lol. I actually told them I'd like my full name on the pin yet when it arrived it had only my first name and last initial on it. 😑🤔

  4. There are two episodes featuring Breakaway (BA: The Build and BA: The Voyage). I especially found The Build quite interesting and I was on BA when they were filming The Voyage. All passengers had to sign releases agreeing that we might be filmed and in fact I am in one of the scenes lol. My 15 minutes of fame. 😄

    Hello,

Considering premium plus for wine on upcoming sailing, any current wine lists available?  Any problems with availability of listed wines? Thank you!!

Post #75 here will give you a general idea but the wine list does change occasionally due to supply issues.

I always get the P+ package because I really don't like most of the wines on the regular list.

Just off the Epic and wines by the bottle were easily available for P+. They told me all wines on the left side of the wine menu were included in the P+ as per bottle or per glass.

Same on Escape. And any bottles on the right-hand page were discounted 20% ( although with a 20% gratuity added).

    Thanks for the quick reply.

is it an efficient service, or do you have to wait a while for drinks?

    Thanks again

Service on the sundeck is not always consistent on Escape. If it's a day when they are having drills, you will have no service until the drill is over. Sea days will have better service. I always stop by the bar on my way up to the sundeck and mention to the bartender or bar waiter that I'll be up there and if someone could check on me for drinks I'd appreciate it.

    oh wow.. thx!

so the cruise after i make ambassador, they will have a personalized pin for me?

hm.. what if i lose it? i ask for another and there will be one waiting for me next cruise?

also, whats the one time special ambassador gift (besides the free 7day cruise) thats listed in the benefits?

It's not like you walk up to the Cruise Next desk and ask for your Ambassador pin. I received a call from NCL asking me how I wanted my name to appear on the pin then it took around six months to actually receive it in the mail.

Not sure if the Ambassador gift is still the same but when I became Ambassador a few years ago, I received a beautiful travel duffel bag made by Away. It has the NCL logo and Latitudes Ambassador stitched on it.

  9. I love the Dawn. Sometimes it is nice to sail on what I call an "old school ship". Everything is smaller and seems less congested than the new larger ships. I only have one negative and that is the lack of indoor bars to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. We loved Gatsby's but if you didn't get a seat at the bar or a table/chairs nearby by 4:30 p.m. you were likely not getting one until much later in the evening.

I should have asked you this earlier in your trip, but is Dilip’s last name Lopes?  We had Dilip Lopes as our butler on the Escape in 2018. (I keep track.). Could it be the same Dilip?

Yes Dilip is currently concierge. One of my favorites!
