I'm very impressed with the new menus and looking forward to both lunches and dinners. Thinking the "signature taste" might be a daily special?

This is fantastic news! Thanks for sharing it with us.

There are several entrances to the Getaway casino. I suppose you could say the "main" entrance area is near the decks 6-7-8 glass staircases. If you are looking for a meeting spot for your slot pull, depending on how many people you have joining, you could choose a spot near the forward or aft elevators or somewhere near the cashiers or Player's Club.

I am not sure if this is covered in this thread, so if it is here and I missed it, I'm sorry!! My husband doesn't drink wine, but I do with meals. If I get the Premium Plus Package and order a bottle of wine, will they hold it for me in the dining room so that I can drink it over a couple of nights? Trust me, no one wants me to drink a single bottle in one night! We are sailing in the Haven on the Encore to Alaska next summer. I know that's a while out, but I'm so stinking excited that I can't keep myself off these boards, YouTube, etc. Thanks in advance for any advice/info!
Remember too that both you and your husband would have to get the P+ upgrade. You can't just get it for one person in the cabin.

Thanks for a thorough review. I'll be on Sky for the first time next Sunday (7 days) and while I usually cruise the larger ships I do enjoy the smaller ships and am looking forward to this adventure.

Note that when ordering drinks in the casino, servers will scan your cabin key card (not your casino drink card) so if you do have the beverage package you'll automatically get drinks up to $15 value or if you have premium plus package you can get anything you want.
If you plan on 3-5 drinks per day you might consider getting the package with your booking. Otherwise you'll pay for every drink individually plus a gratuity.

Parking at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal is $40/night but is the closest and easiest-to-navigate place. There are garages that are less expensive some blocks away but if you are looking for convenience, parking right at the terminal would be your best bet. A Google search of nearby places will show you some other options.

I beg to differ. We have been in a connecting cabin with friends who were in a suite. We were given full suite benefits as to access to the Haven. The only thing we did not receive were the afternoon snacks. And that was resolved by our friends ordering what we wanted, or extras of what they were receiving, and calling us over when things arrived.
To be clear, your experience is NOT the norm.

Has anyone seen photos of the Prima showing an enclosed smoking Casino? I have 'heard' it has something similar to the Bliss/Joy/Encore casinos, but I would love to see photos or a video.
Yes there is an enclosed smoking casino on Prima which looks exactly like other ships.

In a nutshell, only suite guests are entitled to suite benefits. Just because a family member is in a connecting non-suite does not afford you any extras. That being said you will likely be able to board and disembark together as a family.

I'd call Bermuda. I had some issues with the authorization back in June and when I called the person that answered was friendly and helpful and the problem was fixed in minutes.

It is true across the fleet and I like having additional choices for specialties now.

You make it sound like they are serving you rotting food. Not the case at all! On many ships a Sail & Sustain Cocktail of the day is offered at various bars and some of them are quite delicious.

You aren’t missing anything. It’s the YouTube guy ranting for a couple of hours about not being allowed in the Haven because he didn’t book a Haven Suite. As such, he was mad at the Concierge (Adrian) for not letting him in.
Personally, if I were NCL, I would have permanently banned him from sailing with them.
Agree completely -- they should have been banned. At one point after their slanderous video, they posted pictures (on their FB page) and congratulated a couple for hanging handmade "Wanted" posters of Adrian all around the ship for "being mean" to them. Absolutely shameful.

Upon check in you will be given a card with a boarding number. After the groups mentioned by Casofilia, then they board by the group numbers.

Unfortunately not everyone is like Adrian.
Quite true and sadly he has left NCL.

Just have to respond to the nasty comments especially about pork rinds. I bring them for my Filipino crew friends. Perhaps I should have clarified (which means make a statement or situation less confused and more clearly comprehensible) to help with your understanding.
After 100 cruises, 80 on NCL I've become close with many crew members and tend to sail the same ships again and again. Prior to sailing I reach out and always ask if there's anything I can bring. The answers are usually the same: items they cannot get on board such as Doritos, pistachios etc. Some ask for hair gels or special shampoos, others (believe it or not) ask for feminine products because they are so expensive on board. On holidays I bring gift bags too. Oh the horror!
Bottom line is yes cash IS king but the rude and snarky comments are so easy to dispense as many of hide behind an internet veil. There is nothing wrong with kindness towards others and it is how I choose to live my life. As a frequent cruiser I am very aware of how hard crew members work to make my vacation enjoyable and I will continue to bring my gifts and yes, tip well.

On every cruise I bring snacks like Doritos, Cheetos, pork rinds, chocolates etc. Treats like this are always appreciated. I tip at the end too. If you want to bring a small gift bag of goodies go right ahead and don't let the naysayers convince you otherwise.

I've participated in big slot tournaments before. In my case, upon arrival in my cabin there was a letter from the casino inviting me to a kickoff welcome party the first night. There they explained the rules similar to most on-board tournaments: you are assigned dates/times to compete, re-buy information (if allowed) etc. and then you just play at your allotted time. The top "X" number of people compete on the last day and then winners are announced.

Yes Horseshoe in particular has been crowded the last couple of months -- and swimming sometimes closed due to an abundance of jellyfish. However if you intend to go, get there as early as possible would be my suggestion.

Being under the gym can indeed be noisy (think people dropping barbells). I personally like being within the Haven area itself as it is close to the bar, restaurant, pool and sundeck. Getaway also has some nice Haven cabins on deck 15 and, if you don't mind the walk, some great aft suites.
Everything... project Leonardo/Prima class!
