We were told if we did not do the 1/6sail we would forfeit .they would not give us credit for first leg even if we joined in Muscat . So we moved the funds to a 25 trip.Royal Jordanian refunded our bus class tix minus $200 per ticket .

Glad you were able to make the change. We were up against the hard date of 12/8 and went from a silver suite to a regular verandah suite , including 10 % discount. It was take it or stay on the 1/6 trip

Have a great trip . In many ways i sm sorry ee canceled on 12/8 and rebooked to asia.

It will be a fine and certainly memorable trip . In many ways I wish we would have stayed with it but with so many mixed and non message s from SS we moved our money that they would not refund to an overpriced trip in 25

I only know what we were told when we made the change on Dec 8 , transferred our booking to a new one in 25 . When I look at our SS history we were never on the 1/6 trip ? I truly hope it will be a great trip for you and that we were the ones that made a mistake in transferring.

Insurance would not pay. War not covered but they did switch coverage to new cruise. . No credit just transferred what’s we paid for the silver suite to new cruise . And at that no assigned suite as silver is $19 k more

I Agree. We had the hard deadline of dec 8 and had to take our fully paid for trip to another cruise in 25 which was noticably more money.

You may be right on different rules depending on where booked . We had no clout with SS but maybe having a suite helped but that did not help with the new cruise no assigned suite and a 3 category downgrade. But at least we were able to get out of the 1/6 trip

I only know our real story . Yesterday. 2 days before the SS imposed deadline for us we transferred to $29950 from the 1/6 trip to another long trip in early 25 . We were not given the opportunity to use some of what we had paid and gotten a refund . So $29k had to be used on another voyage . We had done our air to jordon and back from Dubai ourselves and are in the process of getting that refunded , luckily we can do that because biz class tix . On our mysilverseas site only our new and past trips show its like we were never on the 1/6 trip

We clearly are not special but we have now changed to a trip in January 25. They moved our paid $ plus 10% to this other trip but with their increased fares we broke even but downgraded from a silver suite. Really sad on all levels fir all I hope the trip turns out to be great for those who stay

Still amazing that your ship is arriving in Aqaba on 1/6 and we on the 1/6 trip from there are now told it leaves from Muscat on 1/6. We have till 12/8 to to stay on a basically unknown itinerary or take FCC. Our flights are of course to Amman

We still are basically blind to the options and have till 12:8. The 1/6 trip is now from muscat second leg to Dubai will be known by 1/2 lots of known unknowns and unknown SS management making no direct contact at least with us

Yes, if I believe our TA of 20 plus years whom we have done multiple SB and SS trips and numeros land trips . We have on hold a trip in 25 but because its a few days longer we have to downgrade from our silver suite , plus noticeable cost increases were are at break even including the 10% credit. That nsaid nothing is over till its over

Yes it’s muscat to muscat. Then next leg from there to Dubai . The firstb leg now has stops. In AubuDabi and Dubai then back to Muscat . But that’s just what I have been told

Right but the first 10 duplicate from muscat tho , what was to be on the second leg which they say will be announced on 1//2. But the decision to take the change offer is 12/8 . A Hobson s choice for sure . .

No , nothing in writing, just dealing with our TA. the insurance we bought will switch over to the new trip . I suppose nothing is real until it is

We are still under the Dec 8 deadline. SS Says by 1/2 they will have the itinerary for the last leg Muscat to Dubai . Not acceptable so we will take the credit and 10% thank you, for a cruise in 25 . This itinerary is not offered in 25 . They were not amused when I asked if credit could be switched to SB . They will not refund the land portion which was totally canceled, only credit . .pricing is high in 25 I’m trading a silver suite for 20 days for a veranda . Good luck to all navigating this unfortunate situation. Our troubles pale in comparison to what’s going on

It’s almost comical but sad on so many levels . We , , on the 1/6 trip have still have gotten no letter from SS. Our agent based on her chats with SS says 1/6 now leaves from muscat to muscat then continues with the same basic itinerary to Dubai . So duplicate cruises but no Saudi Egypt or Jordon . No refund only FCC offered but with a few catches I’m trying to sort out . I guess we will go somewhere on Ss Before we hurry back gladly to SB

Truly amazing the SS rep i talked to says our 1/6 trip now leaves from Muscat and had an itinerary for the trip round trip to Muscat . Basically duplicating the last leg to Dubai. The next leg is a mystery it seems unless the duplicate stops which I'm sure no one wants

I talked to SS yesterday and learned a few things , the emails we were supposed to receive with more details still have not been sent . There is no info yet about muscat to Dubai stops . There is no info on a refund for the cancellation for the pre trip in Jordon and to me it’s unclear is we can even cancel to get FCC . SS holding all the cards

It’s a clear failure on the part of SS to explain what is going on . They continue to post a cruise for sale in 6 weeks that they know is not going. They give us till 12/8 to decide on something they have not told us what to decide on . No answer yet on a refund for the pre trip that was cancelled . Right, insurance will not pay. . At least our business class tix can be cancelled . Amateur hour for a self proclaimed bespoke line

Timing and info from SS makes nio sense.

SS moved the 1/6 trip from Jordon to MUSCAT They cancelled the pre trip to Petra ( zero info on refund yet ) ) there are now 10 days of cruising that their is no itinerary for as yet. They are offering $1000 OF shipboard credit if you continue with the cruise otherwise no refund or you can get a credit to use later. . Zero help on any flights booked independently For us a big mistake going back to SS . Clearly a first world problem but SS. Not really stepping up as yet. 12/8 is the latest to decide

We will have till 12/8 to decide on some basically unknown options (at least to me) I’m traveling today so won’t speak to TA till late today . Our travel insurance is not with SS and they are going to find out if cancellation is covered. Also air questions , lot of known unknowns.
