Right it’s still on the site but someone posted the news yesterday so I wrote our TA who then called SS and heard. Great way to run a railroad. SS has offered some options that dont look great . Our TA says SS is still working on details whatever that means.

Silversea just cancelled our 1/6 trip from Aquba

We finally got the word today of the change . The compensation offered is marginal and the later 10 days of the trip are still TBD . We came back to SS specifically for this itinerary . We did our last 5 trips on SB after 3 on the smaller SS ships years ago. We are sorrrry we did. . I now have to see what can be done on our Bus class tix , there is a possibility that insurance can kick in because of the major change . A mess for sure. And SS still has the original trip open for sale on the web site. .

Interesting , we are on this cruise with the 2 day pre trip with SS. as well. We have heard nothing about changes from SS or our agent. A real mess as SS has the power and our money with the passengers just waiting it seems

We did the SB trip in 2017 and they did a great job. I guess they are using a newer ship now The expedition staff was also great. We are back on SS in January but out of Aqaba , hopefully

It would seem they need to get the Moon to Dubai which is probably why they are waiting? One wonders how many ports will be canceled or changed from our 1/6 trip from Aquba to Dubai ?

Terry, still no changes to our 1/6 trip from Aquaba . Not hard to predict changes but everything is paid for and silence from SS

We are on the Jan 6 Moon cruise from Aqaba .Zero changes yet which is hard to believe.

No clue on the food as we dont leave till year end where we will spend 5 days in Jordon before the trip . its a lay flat seat so any hot food is fine

Our difference was $3100 per person for business class to Aamon . So it was a no brainer to take the credit and book ourselves

The service on the Jewel ships were great we did suites for 3 long trips . About 20 suites one concierge so great service . We never have done the Haven and have chosen NCL for the itinerary which never seems to be mentioned on this thread

We have only been there by air but friends were prevented from tendering because of high seas. I wonder if there is info on how often that happens. Good luck it’s truly a magical place

We just booked non stop on Royal Jordanian Bus Cs for $2700 pp less than the SS offer for Jan trip on SS moon. With the coach credit it will be even less . All depends on route I guess . Our Nov NCL trip ended in Tahiti and they had people on a 5 am charter to LA

Our SS offer was $7100 pp for bus class , we booked for $4300 pp on Royal Jordanian direct , add the credit for not using economy free fare makes it even better.

The people who had NCL Flights leaving the spirit in Tahiti last November had to leave the ship at 4 am for the charter , lot of mumbling the day before. We have only done 3 trips on NCL only on small ships w/o haven but we were well taken care of staying in a suite.

We were certainly taken off by the concierge on the Spirt Hawaii Tahiti trip last fall. Also heading back on the tenders was quick and easy as we were waved on . But since there are only 20 some suites for one concierge we had great service for the 16 days

I am jumping in with some comments about something other than coffee and shows both of which we like . We have done 2 NCL cruises , the last one on the spirt from HNL to tahiti last oct the previous on the last Cuba trip on the sun . Both times in a suite up front . Those cabins are large and right under the bridge and it was fun to wave up to the guys on occasion . No Haven so no clue what we missed but with only 22 suites we had a concierge and butler . Breakfast and lunch in Cagneys with never more than 10 -15 peeps ever there. Private area for the shows great seating whatever restaurant we ate in,. We are Seabourne cruisers with 7 trips on them but as far as food goes NCL is their equal in he smaller venues . The Spirt was limited capacity so never felt crowded. I guess that’s what the haven offers . My plug is simply don`t overlook the Spirt

Great thread for killing time. I like using the 2 dollar bill for random travel tipping . They were a big hit in Cuba and French Polynesian , my opinion tho , also its great to leave for the random Hampton Inn , Marriott free breakfast

I use them all the time on trips.they were a big hit in Tahiti and in Cuba they were a big hit. Banks usually have brand new bills.
