  1. This was our first Carnival cruise and we were traveling with a group of 17. We were blessed with great weather, from our flight from Latrobe, PA. until our flight home from Ft. Lauderdale. I plead temporary insanity for choosing dates during Spring Break, but we made the best of it in spite of the loud college crowds. This is my first review and it will happen in several different installments, and I'd be happy to answer any questions along the way.

Embarkation was relatively simple. We arrived at the port around 11:00 am and went through the line fairly quickly. We were assigned to Zone 4 to board the ship and were onboard and had our drink packages activated by just after noon. After that we quickly made our way to the Lido deck for some sun.

Muster happened on time and was relatively short, and then we were on our way from Port Everglades.

More to come in the morning because I'm a little cross-eyed tonight.

  2. We're sailing on the Conquest on Sunday. The boarding pass lists embarkation time as starting at 1:30, but I've found on Carnival's website that it's not staggered, it's listed as that for everyone. How early can we show up at the pier to queue up to board? Our group would much rather be on the ship as soon as possible.

    Thanks

  3. Have reservations there for Tuesday, March 15. Cost is $80/adult. Children are less I believe. It's all inclusive, including non-motorized watersports. Will check back in and let you know about our experience.

  4. Cruising on the Carnival Conquest in March 2016 and one of our ports is Montego Bay. We've got a group of about 30 adults who are looking for a beach where we can relax in the sun and have food and adult beverages easily accessible.

Would love to hear from those who have been to both. Would also appreciate other options if anyone knows of any.

    Regards,

  5. Wondering if anyone else has run into this dilemma. Contacted a CLIA certified TA to book a cruise on the Conquest for a group. She got back to me with cabin prices and the quote included $159 port tax, $118.08 govt tax per guest. If you start the booking process on the Carnival website for the same cruise the taxes and port fees are $236.02 for the entire cabin, which is significantly less.

Has anyone else experienced this? Since the information is freely available on the Carnival website I can't figure out why the numbers are significantly different.

    Thanks!

    Carolyn
