  1. cancel if you want, but i know of many people who bought the UDP, and then individually bought restaurants for every lunch and dinner. then once on board, they just asked to keep the dining times for the UDP, and canceled the individual books. They got all of their money back as refundable on board credit. It's extra work, and a lot of money to lay out twice, but they got their reservations.
  2. The$290 includes gratuities. I was honestly surprised it didn't cost more with all of the new restaurants coming. My 7 night Navigator UDP was $245 plus grats... which works out to about $290.
  3. that is incorrect. if you win a royal up bid, you win all of the benefits that go along with it. so if you have a sky suite now, you receive internet, early boarding, etc. the only thing you don't get is double points. i would cancel the key.
  4. I like to have them mix flavors... A frozen peachy virgin colada... Watermelon, pineapple, sprite and lime... Frozen cranberry and sour mix... have fun. Tell the bartender what you don't like and what you enjoy and let them be creative. The best part of a drink package is if you don't like what they give you, you can just get something else 🙂
  5. no need. you can get water with the refreshment package. and you can ask for multiple bottles at a time.
  6. Ask for Eva! She was great when we sailed last week. A friend couldn't decide between two entrées, so she brought them both. 🙂
  7. look at an ultra spacious outside view. i sailed to alaska with two other friends in that room. it was perfect.
  8. All of Royal Caribbean's excursions list weight limits, but I haven't seen any limits on 3rd party tours. Does anyone know if they exist? Has anyone on the larger side had issues? Thanks!
  9. lobster thermador is one relatively large tail, cut up into pieces and cooked in the congac sauce, then served in the tail. we had a table of 4.. got two orders as a side dish for our main courses. I've had the tenderloin, the duck and the halibut. All are delicious and the fried cheesecake may be my favorite dessert on any ship 🙂
  10. Mushroom soup at Chops may be my favorite thing to eat on any ship.. don't miss it!
  11. I was able to book it through the cruise planner before sailing. We've done it before and it's a lot of fun.
  12. we did a 10 night, northbound, through anchorage, denali and fairbanks. we didn't see the options for the post-cruise tours until we were on the bus. they ranged from inexpensive (sled dogs in denali for like $50) to extremely pricey (arctic circle flights for about $650). We also did an optional river boat tour in Fairbanks for about $75. There were a couple of things included. We decided not to do the helicopter or plane tours because we were told there was a good chance they might cancel. Some canceled 5 minutes before they were supposed to go up because of the weather. (early august). I do know someone who did the arctic circle flight and said everyone was vomiting the entire time, it was not enjoyable at all.. and because of the lack of snow cover, the arctic circle just looked like any other spot. We had no regrets. Happy sailing!
  13. you can also take any of the free cruises you are offered, then just pay to upgrade the rooms. get a larger stateroom and pay for the extra people. you'll still save lots of $$$
  14. i wasn't trying to break the rules. even if we "bought" dinner for the group to make the reservation in advance (and returned it on the ship), you are limited to a reservation of 10. we have 11 people. with such a large group, i'm just trying to ensure we can make it happen. it's for one person's 50th birthday.
  15. i am aware of that. but with the large group, i wasn't sure if there were exceptions
  16. Hi! We're a group of 11, all with UDP, sailing on Oasis in January. We'd love to plan a large group dinner at Giovanni's one night. Our reservations are linked. Does anyone know if we'd be able to get a reservation for the group in advance or does it have to be made on board. I'm also Diamond +, and though maybe if I could get the email of the concierge for Oasis before we sail, they might be able to set something up.. Has anyone ever done anything like that before? Thanks!
  17. i've never done it, but if you buy OBC, i don't think you have access to it until you're on the ship. It's like a gift certificate, where if you use one for OBC, you can't use it till you sail. You have to apply it 10 days in advance, but can't use it to book cruise planner items.
  18. Thanks. I'm hoping for cheaper island prices lol
  19. I posted on the port page, but I know that's not visited as often as the Royal Page. I'm visiting Jamaica for the first time when I sail on Harmony on Sunday and have requests to bring back Blue Mountain coffee. Just want to make sure I bring enough cash. Anyone know how much it's going for right now? Thanks!

  21. 7-10 days is lucky. Several times, my refunds have gotten "stuck". I've had to call to get things working again, and in some cases, it's taken a full month to get refunded. They take your money in a second but wait FOREVER to give it back to you.
  22. correct. that's what i was looking for. cause those jerk wings are really good lol.
  23. If you have the unlimited dining package, does it cover the food they charge for on Coco Cay? (Yes, I know there's free food as well)
  24. I've never seen a promo work like that. I had the same issue. I decided to book one device for two people, rather than two devices for one. It was only a $14 difference for the 7-night cruise. The pricing is definitely weird. Especially since if you book 3 devices for one person, you get the $11.99 pricing fir devices 2 and 3.
