don't get me wrong i loved our Alaska cruise i will be going back 2019 but not doing the up close tour if they can't tell me if the ship is going to follow us up to the glaciers.

I had no problem not going to Tracy Arm Fjord or being rerouted to Endicott my problem is the cruise ship followed us close behind the small boat so why take it if the ship will follow, when we got back on the the ship and to our balcony we took pictures of the icebergs and they were better because of the height of the ship, i went down to the tour desk to ask about this and the line was around the corner with our tour people complaining about paying to get up close when the ship also gets up close. I would check before you spend $300 for this excursion.

Most all my cruises have been in mid November ( anniversary time ) very few kids all Caribbean cruises.

I am glad i made our pre stay in Barcelona 4 days, we plan on doing as much in the 4 days before our cruise don't know when we'll be back

We are staying at the Europark now and enjoying it very much. Reasonably priced, helpful staff, far enough away from busy areas to be quiet, yet close enough to to walk to many things. Nice amenities including Nespresso machine in the room, robe and slippers, rooftop pool. Would stay here again!

We will be staying at Hotel Europark 4 days on our upcoming Horizon cruise glad you enjoyed your stay, how long was your stay, did you get to see all the tourist destination, and can you walk to all places, where did you eat, sorry for all the ??? just excited we will be there

I called carnival to get info. on their Fly2fun program but they could not get the flight listings so i went direct on the airline website and got a direct flight for 2 $685 and hotel in Barcelona 4 days for $548 so a little over a thousand dollars for flight and hotel i think is great. Since the airline just open the flights i was able to reserve the seats i wanted.

I could be wrong but the sister to the vista is the Horizon then the next ship will be 2019, 2020, and 2022 this is what i got from my PVP, someone may have more update.

Yukon discovery tour in Skagway by Mini Bus is the way to go you get to stop when you see animals shop w stop at various towns eat lunch shop and at Carcross see this desert right in the middle of town amazing. don't do the train it just go up and down mini bus is much better.

I have gotten price matches from Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico total $158 that covered gratuities good program.

I am on the wait list for our Messina upcoming med. cruise on the Horizon i hope we get enough people to fill our suv, if not i will have to do on my own or through Carnival.

I carry my drink i made in my cabin everywhere including the shows and MDR had no problem how can they tell if it is from me or the bar.

My PVP never call i have 3 cruises booked so no need but i asked him to let me know the moment the new 2019 ship itinerary comes out so no calls until then unless i call him.

I never had this problem on any of my cruises if this is a Carnival policy then all my cabin stewards have neglected their duties when we return to our cabin everything that was plugged in is as we left them i don't understand why some do and some don't

Booked b2b Paradise in September. Couldn't get the same cabin.

Keep checking that is what i did booked a Havana Cabin and 2 months later decided to do a BTB but all the cabins were booked then one day last month i just happen to check the cabins again and the one i am staying in was available for the second leg so i got in touch with my PVP and booked it keep trying.

I will be doing my first BTB on the new ship Horizon i'm retired so being away 30 days is no problem also thought about staying in the same cabin and we did it will be in the new Havana Cabanas and same cabin. this will give us plenty of time to know the ship and try out all the eating and entertainment venues, very excited

Banana bread pudding sounds great will try it on our next cruise ( tried the B&B sorry did not like it but DW loved it )

I practically lived in Havana and I can't say as I ever really saw many people walking past except if they had a cabin there.

 

I had an extended Aft Balcony and thought it was fine. Never noticed anyone staring down at me. BTW, anyone on the upper decks along the side can also look down into the Havana Cabana patios where there isn' t a real roof. I didn't like the fact that you are pretty much completely visible side to side with the neighbors in the Havana Cabanas as well and that's why we didn't choose that type of cabin. I know plenty of others don't have issues with it and love them and that's fine. I just know I'm not comfortable with it. I like deck 5 for the convenience, but 7 was quiet. Next time I would be perfectly happy with a Havana Inside. We spent so much time in the Havana area itself, a balcony was totally unnecessary to me. My friend had one and I loved it.

We have a Havana Cabana on our upcoming Horizon Europe cruise so we are excited to be on the cruise and the cabin, thanks for your input.

Yes they can access it as it's open towards the pool end. They can go past your cabin and out the door towards midship. I don't think they open the midship doors at 8, they just allow everyone to go through the Havana Bar.

Thanks firemanbobswife i know they can access the pool area but did not know if they could access the Lanai area, how was it when you were on the Lanai was there lots of people walking in the area or was it quiet like on the picture

I have a cruise from Honolulu and ending in Vancouver. Would you recommend spending a couple of days before in Honolulu? I'd like to do a couple of extra days in Vancouver...

We did pre cruise 3 days in Vancouver and post stay 1 week in Honolulu because we have never been to either, we always stay extra days in places we have never been to.
