  1. Thanks, we'll just take our chances as before. We may have had to wait sometimes but usually got into the restaurant we wanted.
  2. We're on Arvia for the first time in May. On all our other P&O cruises we have simply turned up to a restaurant to book. Will we still be able to get in or do we need to book before we sail?
  3. I love dockside at Barcelona, watching all the robots moving the containers. Not sad.
  4. ..."they have set a standard which their paying passengers have come to expect," and "Perhaps if they were more upfront and honest about the issues they are currently having and the resulting impact on customer satisfaction, people would be more understanding." I think that Happy Afloat has nailed the situation very well. Personally, I'd be willing to pay maybe 10% extra to return to pre Covid levels. And why on earth can't P&O come clean and explain why the food quality and choice has fallen and shows no signs of returning to the standards of a few years ago?
  5. We take our own beer mats now because the paper coasters are useless and stick to the bottom of the glass all the time. We also take a swizzle stick since they have been discontiued. Sad or what?
  6. I think that 'budget' in this instant is used pejoratively. Perhaps 'not like it was' would be more appropriate. Covid, shortage of staff and supply chain issues are the reason for many changes, but I don't think that P&O have gone downmarket at all, even if sometimes it might seem like it.
  7. Is this new? I've been cruising with P&O for about 10 yrs and hadn't heard of it, although it seems like a good idea. Where can the tel. number be found?
  8. I see someone has mentioned 'The Wine Line'. I've not heard of this, can anyone explain please?
  9. We wereat the section of the Meridian that was held back till last. 9.40 before we got on the coach which didn't stop until Nottingham, by which time some people, including us, had been waiting/sitting for over 4 and 1/2 hours. No wonder there was a rush for the loos!
  10. We go on our cruise on 2nd. October.( 77y oIds).I don't want the hassle of trying to check in on line. I can't find where to print my boarding pass and Tickets aren't issued any more. We have our booking confirmation etc. Can we just turn up at the terminal and be processed as we were before covid? Any advice please.
  11. Like ZAP99 we are on Britannia in October. Good to hear that things are getting back to normal. When we were last on her in May, there were some restrictions. Apart from the cabin things, we found the restricted MDR menu and the fewer choices in the buffet the things that we regretted most. Are these back to pre covid levels? Could you buy a bottle of wine and have it saved for the next night? Finally, was there any covid/ covid restrictions in place?
  12. I have been trying to access my account all day but after I have logged in I just keep getting the message 'Something happened, please try again later'. Is anyone else having this problem?
  13. Just returned from Brittania cruise, one thing that I haven't seen mentioned on here is that no longer are menus available outside the MDRs or the buffet. It was nice to see what was on at night before deciding where to eat. You are only given a menu when you go into the restaurant. As there is no menu posted outside the buffet, people have to wander around to see what is available. Having said that, despite reduced menu choices, all the food we had on board was excellent.
  14. We are sailing on Britannia on Tuesday. Does anyone know if the laundrettes on board are operating normally?
