That's not an option on the Princess excursions - just the Gumbalimba one that we booked. FOMO.

I have not been to Roatan but we have a stop there in January. I have been studying all the animal parks,  we were wanting to go to Gumbalimba but they do not have Sloths there anymore. (Which we really want to see) so are now going to Mayan Eden. Those 2 parks have more free roaming animals which we prefer to caged.

We have booked a private tour with Ronys tours going to Mayan Eden, few sightseeing places & then West Bay beach.

We were in Roatan recently for nearly 2 weeks.  We visited Mayan Eden for the 2nd time.  We have been to 5 different "monkey/sloth" parks.  Mayan Eden is our favorite.  I recommend booking with Ronystours.com.  Choose his freestyle tour and you will get a private driver for the day.  Visit the beach or other places on your own schedule.  So much better than following a group excursion schedule.  He will make sure you have a great day!

We have just booked with Ronystours for January.

The freestyle tour with a visit to Mayan Eden & then some beach time.

I presume we will do Mayan Eden first. Do you have any recommendations for where to go to the beach. We didn’t choose anywhere as most of the places said sun beds on a first come first served basis  & I guess we will be there later in the day.

    Thanks.

  3. I’m still here lurking. Love your daily updates & food pics.

Im planning our trip to New Orleans in January staying 5 days, then on the Ncl Breakaway for a week then fly to Miami for 3 nights in Key Largo.

Have to make the most of our trip as coming from Turkey it’s such a long journey.

We leave home on the Monday & get to New Orleans on Wednesday Night!

Haven’t had a holiday for 3 years so it’s much needed.

Do you happen to remember the room number for deck 9? I am taking my mom and she is really looking forward to hanging out on the balcony so just want her as comfy as possible 🙂

They are a separate category Large balcony cabin.

Here is a picture I got previously on CC it is the Breakaway but it is the same as the Getaway.

Closer and with a sandy beach (plus a separate snorkel area) is Chankanaab park - plus it offers nature trails, animal shows, and an opportunity to swim with the dolphins for a big fee -- but it comes with a $20/per person admission fee.

Thank you. I hadn’t thought to look at here. It may be a better option as $60 is much better than $177 for nachi cocom for the 3 of us. The taxi would be less & also the journey not as long.

    Where do live in Turkey?

We lived in Adana while my Dad was stationed at Incirlik.

Miss the food there sooooo much.

For relaxation in Cozumel, I can't recommend Nachi Cocum enough.

Gorgeous facilities, fantastic meal included in the price, plus drinks.

We aren't huge drinkers, but to us, Nachi Cocum is worth the price for the peace and quiet and gorgeous beach and pool.

They have a strict limit of visitors each day, so it rarely ever gets loud or busy.

(been to Nachi at least 4 times and only once did it get even slightly loud on a full day, for just a few minutes. Definitely not a pumping music party place)

It is like a 15-20 minute cab ride to get there and then back.(from Carnival or RCCL's pier next door)

I think the price is still $17-20 for up to 4 people each way.

If you are looking for the most inexpensive, closest to the piers spot, then Money Bar is probably a good choice.I believe it has a rocky shore versus sandy beach.

Hope you find a place that tuens into your perfect beach day, like we have with Nachi Cocum.

We live in Fethiye/Mugla, I’m originally from England but my husband is Turkish.

We run a small hotel in Oludeniz.

Nachi Cocom looks fabulous & that’s really the type of beach we are wanting but without the all inclusive as I don’t think we will get the value.

Maybe my husband &  I can eat there & daughter can snack & then eat in the town later. We are not day drinkers either (otherwise I would be asleep by 6pm)

We are cruising Ncl so will be at Punta Langosta pier in the town.
