We have booked a number of third-party excursions.  Again no issues.

I understand. We book through Carnival, because we always worry about getting back to the ship on time which actually happened this last cruise.  We got back late from an excursion in St Thomas.  There were about 40 of us that got back to the ship about 20 minutes late.

We are trying to decide on a graduation cruise for our daughter.  We have been doing the eastern but are thinking of switching to the western.  How have the cruises to Mexico been?   Has anyone been uncomfortable.  We love Mexico and look forward to going there but are a little concerned with all the warnings.

We have done the western Caribbean more times than I can count and have never encountered any issues.

We do, however, only book excursions through Carnival.

Thanks for doing a review. We were on this cruise as well and it has us considering whether we will ever cruise from Miami again. The traffic was crazy, and I was super stressed. Getting there was horrible, and leaving the port was bad. Hope it went better for you.

The traffic issue was due to the Ultra music festival and an overturned tractor trailer in the tunnel.  We have done over 20 cruises out of Miami and have NEVER experienced the nightmare that was on that weekend.

That is what I was referring to in my post,   I cannot see the carnival credit card obc under the booking and order details area, I can only see obc given to me by Carnival.  They only way I used to be able to see it was with the cruise summary.  Oh well.  I guess once I check in hopefully it will display

You will not see the CC OBC until you are on the ship. It will show up on the second day of your cruise.

I just wanted to give an update on my findings so far for the next person in the same situation.  The couch might be bolted to the wall but I was told it could be un bolted.  I have allerted the travel Ag that my Mother is bringing the Scooter but does not need further accomidations in the cabin.  I did not go with the associated scooter rental company which would have been much easier, due to the limited space in the Cove Balcony. I was very concerned with the limited space and the scooters offered that didn't shrink down the foot print of the scooter, the back of the chair folds down and the tiller folds but you still have this huge piece of machinery in a tiny cabin.   I went with a Fold up model Pride Go Go, l that I rented from Mobility Plus in Pemb Pines. This unit folds up pretty small. I think it will fit somewhere near the couch.  Hopefully we have plug on that side of the room.  I am going to pick it up the day before as I need less things to do the day of embarkation not more. They were very nice and I hope this all works out, this is a first time cruising with the scooter.

The only plugs in the room on the Celebration are on the opposite side of the room under the mirror.  There are no plugs on the side of the bed or couch.  Next to the bed are only USB ports.

There were MANY scooters on our cruise last week and none were parked in the hallway at least on our floor or any floors we walked through. We were in a regular balcony and I don't see how a scooter would fit in any part of the cabin.

Celebration is an awesome ship.  Enjoy!

I’m thinking this is right. Meaning kinda random. I only play craps, so I don’t build up nearly the points slot players get. I typically get offers for $100 cabins, DOU in casino and $200 free play. But I’ve also randomly gotten the DOU everywhere on the ship. I can’t say why. I don’t change the way I gamble. Just sometimes get it.

I do not play slots (unless I get bored at the tables)  So any offers I get is based on my table play.  I'm not a big better but I do spend a lot of time in the casino.

My husband gets more fun play than I do but we both get the DOU everywhere.  Right now I have about 5+ different offers with the DOU everywhere.

  7. Why bother John Heald for this request when you can go to the dining room on embarkation day and request it yourself.

We have never had a problem getting a table for 2.  Sometimes you may have to wait for the second day for the matre d to accommodate you.

I figured it wouldn't be too hard. I just wanted to make sure that we didn't need to be IN our cabin to see the zones being called. If we are going to lounge on the ship until last call, I don't want to be cooped up in the cabin. But sounds like that won't be an issue at all! And I love the idea of not having ship-wide announcements not going off every 5 minutes!

You have to be out of your cabin by 8:30 AM at the latest.

I afraid to ask what you tipped. 😁

You can ask, i may not tell 😆 but on a serious note, my husband usually gives the servers a $5 chip.  (for the 2 of us) He always has a server that comes to him for the rest of the cruise.  Rarely do we have to wait for a drink.

On January 1, we actually walked out of Cucina on MG because they let us sit there for 20 minutes with no water, bread or even a greeting.  The manager called us the next morning and made it right.  But not how you want to start a New Year.

We were also there on the NYE cruise.  Although the food was good, the service was awful and a loooong wait to get a table.
