  1. Just got off Caribbean Princess today. Was told Medalion was starting for those embarking today.

Noticed sensors on my balcony, two in stateroom and one in the bathroom. The hot tubs even had 2 sensors IN the hot tub on the decks.

Full ship wide? I hope so!

  2. Once you're directly outside the gates of the Havensight pier, take a left and walk until you come to the Wendy's. When you reach the Wendy's, look left and there is a bus stop on the side of the road. The bus will travel West along the coast. Get off at the Niskey Shopping Center. Crown Bay is just South of the shopping center...
    Thank you!

  3. Is something compelling you to open the thread?

Or do you do so just to complain about it?

Does that somehow make the situation better?

Simply pass it by, and you never have to have empathy for the dead horse.

I agree. I find this thread informative. Seeing that I go on my cruise within 2 weeks, it's very relevant to whether ***** will be on my cruise or not. If you don't like it, don't read it.

  4. Since we are cruising in 17 days, I though I would bring this back from the dead. Again, we will be dining on the late schedule. Gives us time for visiting the ports and less kids. But since we are in our 50's now (when I originally started this post I was in my 30's) we are looking for more cruises with less kids, hence Princess.

The 30's to 50's thing is bothering me too!!

  5. They probably do not have this listed specifically on the bookings.

Just pull up your cruise on the web-site, like you were booking right now, and I think you should see it there.

Our cabin is not in the mid-forward section. So, we probably won't have *****... (if that is where the selected ***** cabins are located)

No biggie. But, it would have been interesting!

Again, I would rather they bring on the new beds!

I was reading on my Roll Call that the Ocean Medallion will be rolled out ship wide on August 4th. Since my cruise is two weeks after that, I would think Princess would put it on either my booking or on the cruise web site for people searching. I didn't see it on either, maybe I'll just wait and see if they send the Medallions to us in the mail.

    Thanks

  6. I noticed that. My December 2019 was Ocean Medallion when I booked it a couple of weeks ago and now is Ocean Medallion Preview. Seriously, they don’t feel they will have it ready in Dec 2019??!!!

Just wondering, where does it say that you are (or aren't) on any kind of Medallion cruise? I looked all through my booking info on Princess.com but can't find anything.

    Thanks

  7. We've been on the Caribbean, Regal, and Royal Princess ships. None of those cabin bathroom outlets were switched.

You need to leave a card in the slot when you enter your cabin to prevent the power from going off.

We had the card thing on a Holland America cruise only, didn't affect the night light though as the card keeps the lights on only when we're in the cabin. It makes sense to help conserve electricity as they use oil as their fuel an it is not cheap! I know this from my work.

I do like your choice of clippers to keep the outlet switch open. A nice touch!

    Thanks for the reply.

  8. If you do a SEARCH on this site about the outlet in the bathroom, you'll find that many cruisers have stated that the BR plug is for shavers only.
I did do a search on this forum with no real results, thank you. However, I don't know any men who would shave in the dark, so I'm not sure how they'd be able to answer the question. I'm sure the plug isn't just for shavers either, another reply I received used them for their toothbrush as well.

    Thanks

  9. Since it’s pitch black in the room at night, my wife and I liketo bring two light sensing night lights, one for the room and one for thebathroom. On a past cruise a few yearsago, the bathroom outlet was switched so that when the light was on the outletwas hot, when the light was off, so was the outlet. This kinda defeated the purpose of the nightlight since it wouldn’t work during its intended purpose. I think this was a Royal Caribbean ship but not 100% sure.

So my question is, does anyone know if the outlet in the bathroom is a switched outlet or always hot on the Caribbean Princess?
