That is not correct. All other non-Haven suites on all other NCL ships include butler service. The Joy followed suit, then it was taken away only on the Joy.
Yes, it was very disappointing and frustrating at that time to get the correct facts. Another poster at that time was going through it also so we shared information. I still do not think it was right we booked and paid for a suite with amenities and then they took the amenities away without any notice. But those non haven suites on the Joy are great cabins as we did stay in one on another cruise later that year using a decent amount of FCC.
Yes, all the main amenities were taken away from the non Haven Suites on the Joy in November 2021. We had one booked which when we booked included all of the amenities including a butler. Then without any notice they took the amenities away. After a few emails back and forth, we received $200 OBC. We ended up upgrading ourselves directly to the Haven (non bid) and got to keep the OBC.
We are sailing June 2, 2024 and were notified last month about NCL moving two of our seven cabins to another deck. We all were on deck 15 in a row. I had them move them all to another deck.
Thank you so much for posting this! Every morning while I price check the cruises we have booked, I grumble to myself about all of the extra steps I have to take each time just to get a complete price.
Correct, the cabanas come with two Vibe passes. Once they start selling the cabanas, I will switch out some of passes (we have 13 reserved) for a few cabanas for our group. We reserved the Vibe passes at $229 each and now they are $249 each so I would think they will also raise the cabana prices. Right now we have a cabana reserved for our February sailing on the Encore and the cabana cost is $599.
Great deal on your upgrade! I am still all over the place. While I am willing to pay upright for the upgrade, my husband is willing to pay $0 for any upgrade on this cruise. He seems to think we spent way too much money on our cruise this past March and we have two booked for next year.
We booked this too. I am going to call NCL tomorrow and see what I can find out. If it is going to be cancelled, I would rather know sooner than later to try to plan another excursion.
Still not thrilled about the "streamlining" of the OB so they can add additional cabins.
However, I do have a request in to switch out our Vibe passes for the new cabanas.
I would go on record, once again, and state we will not sail on a bigger ship and not get Vibe passes even if we are in the Haven. Even if I am spending a ridiculous amount of money for the Haven, then I will just budget the additional Vibe cost. For us, we greatly prefer the Vibe to the Haven sundeck for many reasons.
I just did a search and saw that this topic was discussed in April and I basically replied with the same answer then. Boy, my memory is not what it used to be.
