I had to do two wash loads (hot and a cold), but I was able to fit both in one dryer. If I can remember, there were only two washers and two dryers on the 9th floor.
Good to know! Thank you

Nope... there is a machine you swipe to control the washers and dryers.
Thanks! I was hoping to avoid quarters[emoji4]

Does the Sunshine need quarters or the Sign/sail card for the washers and dryers

I'm on the sunshine in 2 weeks! Thanks for keeping me excited as I endure the wait! [emoji1][emoji1]

Same here. No wait list on Carnival. Are you talking about Norwegian? I think they limit the number of kids

I have long hair and have used the dryer on 3 ships. No problems at all. I use a hair elastic to keep the button pressed.
Good idea!

What snorkeling equipment would you suggest to buy? Any favorite brands?
Something that would be ok for 1-2 snorkeling trips a year.

Oh my! Yes yes and yes. Anything you want and in any quantity

Don't understand how one can say that they use their OBC for any particular thing.
It's not like when you make an on board purchase, you have the option of designating where that amount comes from. It's just charged to your account.
If you have an OBC credit, that charge reduces that credit. And on and on until OBC is used up. Then the S&S balance due starts increasing.
Really? Just enjoy the topic. Obviously that is what happens, but you don't need to be a wet blanket.
We're using ours for a Behind the Scenes tour.

My clothes came back noticeably faded. So now I always bring my own laundry detergent and quarters and wash my own. The few minutes it takes me is no big deal and I can wash a whole lot more.
And yes, those bags are small. Plan to roll up everything as tightly as possible to get as much as possible in the bag. It will hold (?) maybe a half a load if you don't send big items like jeans.

I'm glad I'm skipping it this cruise from Canaveral. I hate the morning lag of sitting in a hotel and being bored.
This would make me be tempted to buy FTTF more than anything else! Feeding 6 people for lunch is expensive

We love Carnival's dinner for kids. We drop them off with their counsellors at 6, they feed them and then take them back to camp carnival. The kids enjoy being with their friends and I enjoy having a quiet dinner with my husband. It's a win-win!

Need no. Like? Maybe. Trying to save money? Then probably not. You have summed up all the reasons why you don't need it

I'm used to the old system, for YTD I would just go get in line at the hostess desk. Is this the same way on the Sunshine? Or do I get in line somewhere else?
I normally eat as soon as the doors open...or shortly thereafter.

We have done this with coffee. Keep the carafe from RS the first day rinse well and store in the closet. Next day hubby runs up to the lido and using a clean water cup fills with coffee. The water cups are easier to pour. By the way the carafe will hold 3 of those cups. from We are early risers (6-7 AM) but want to wake on our schedule rather than RS delivery. By the time the coffee is gone I will be dressed and the MDR will be open for breakfast.
3 cups! Good to know. Thanks :)

You ***could*** order like above one day, then go down the next day with the (empty) carafe and fill it up. :eek:Use a clean cup to fill it, and take only what you actually with drink. If you are doing the leg work, I don't see a problem, but just my .02 cent.
Actually. This isn't that bad of an idea. We'll be in a spa balcony which is really close to the lido. So I could send one of my kids out ;)

I have not even heard about this. I have always used the ones with two big hooks. Do you know why they are not allowed? Thank you for letting us know.
My last cruise they took my small plastic fan out of my suitcase and I had to go to the "naughty room" after the cruise to retrieve it.
The hooks scratch the doors :(. And sometimes they're too thick and really mess things up.
I can't believe they took a fan?!?! I've seen lots of people on here say that they always bring one.

My husband sounds like you. A quiet corner and a book sums up his sea day :).
For me, sleep in a bit, brunch. Then normally a trivia or art function. I enjoy the informational talks. Later lunch, pool time/water slide. shopping. Dress/shower for dinner. Eat. See a show or listen to music in the atrium. Bedtime.
Of course, this is all without kids. Our next cruise, we're taking the family. So it will be slightly different.

I see everyone talking about coffee on their balcony. We don't drink coffee, but can I request a carafe of hot chocolate to enjoy on my Sunshine balcony in the morning?

P.S. Kudos to you for being a sweet husband! Your wife is very blessed!

I block my kids' cards. They have no reason to buy stuff with all of the free things on board.
