  1. I understand what you mean. It seems strange to book when you have no clue what wil be on the ship. But after sailing on the Escape last June, I have no doubt the Bliss will impress. I just found a room category on the Escape that I liked and booked it on the Bliss. It'll be fun to watch the changes to the ship as it's being built.

May I ask what room category you choose and what you liked about it? Right now I am booked into a forward balcony... catagory BF.

  2. Am I crazy to book my second ever cruise and first with NCL on a brand new ship? If I am not crazy, it is driving me crazy. My first cruise I did so much research that I was able to give my husband a tour of the ship when we embarked, I knew "secret" decks, the best way to get around, and how to book a dining experience with the Chef that is not advertised. So fast-forward to today. There is very little information out there about Bliss... did I book the right room? in the right location? ... okay I just need to "chill out" and experience the ship when I embark... I don't need to know everything ahead of time! (of course once she sails... I will be reading every post in every thread... lol) ;)

  3. Do they hand them out with the card for free when you start your cruise?

How much are they if they aren't free and I wonder if I should just buy some cheap at home first.

    TIA!!

Hi... I am a new cruiser so am not sure if they are handed out... started reading the thread and stopped because it wasn't very nice.

I bought a very pretty beaded lanyard on ebay for less than $7 with shipping. I don't want to loose my sail & sign card. I am going to buy a plastic pouch to add to the bottom instead of just hanging the card on it, so I can slip in my DL when in port and extra ones for tipping on and off the ship. I can actually get a matching pouch if I go back to ebay... wish I had bought it when I bought the Lanyard.

If it points me out as a newbie so be it! I am proud of it.

  4. Hello Cruise Critic family!

I will be sailing on the Splendor this coming Friday on her Bermuda sailing. I do plan to put together a review when we return, but I was wondering if anyone had any specific questions about the Splendor that I may be able to find out answers to for them. I have learned so much on this site and I would like to give back to the community if I can. :) We will be eating in the Steakhouse the first night, and my group has signed up for YTD for the remainder of the cruise. We won't be doing any ship excursions, so I won't be able to answer any questions about those. Anything else, post away and I will do my best to find out answers for you!

Silly question...but I want to know if magnets will work on the cabin walls and doors... I keep getting conflicting answers. Thanks!
