I always choose my flights/routing then have my TA submit it to O so far we have done NON STOPS only the deviation fee charged but we always go in a day or more early anyway I will book our own in some cases as we prefer BIZ class when possible loved the A/C lie flat seats AMS r/t it was worth the extra price to us I am too old for Econ on long haul flights LOL Some do not like A/C but I have not had any issues with them

We had a package deal cruise & stay so a week on Rhodes plus the cruise a good trip Check Delta air website you can probably get flights for approx $1300 depending on date & seats

When we were in Kristiansand they had one of the little tourist train to town I would see how you mom is by the time of the cruise then access the situation I agree you will see some scenic views from the ship in the fjords

On your O invoice does it have anything next to the charge ? They usually list all the charges/discounts etc PP on the invoice

You can book O air & fly in early/stay longer & pay the deviation fee then book your own transfer & hotel You can book the O hotel package which included transfers (airport to hotel hotel to ship) sometimes it works out OK if you are looking for a 5* hotel personal choice

No they do not If you are paying the deviation fee that is all You can book the hotel package if you choose & the deviation fee is included for obvious reasons 😉

What airline did you request ? Maybe one they do not have contracts with We always ask for non stops

You do not need to do it on embarkation day but can use the Card in your cabin anytime That said pre covid it took a day or 2 when we sent out our garment just fill in the form include the Free pressing card in the bag & leave it on the bed or if you have a butler they will take care of it for you I just go to the laundry room & press anything that I need for that evening
