QM2 has two levels to the dining room. For all its size, I haven't found the Britannia restaurant to be too noisy.

We were back in Briannia for a short cruise last September, I'd forgotten what a nice "vibe" the restaurant had compared to the Grills.

  2. Looking at that menu and reading some of the recent QM2 reviews, I struggle to see how people find the food boring and tasteless on board - I know food is subjective, but I'd happily order everything one that menu except goats cheese tart, since that is the work of the Devil

  3. I'm not sure it would, Whispering Angel was included in the Commodore's wine package, and those wines tend to be in excess of $60 per bottle or $15 for a medium glass. I've just had a look at the chart room menu from last year on QE and it looks to be just outside the limit for a small glass

  4. Has anyone seen the PG bathrooms yet - are they still shower over bath ? If so I'm envious of the Britannia guests being able to get their hair wet - PG showers on QE/QV are chest height for me.

  5. Same - He tried the Indian pop-up on QV and it was very nice, but I'm not sure I'd pass over an  evening meal in the Grills restaurant for this even with my Diamond perk unless there was nothing we really fancied at all

Can anyone confirm there are TV's in the golden lion on Queen Elizabeth? Have tried looking at pictures but have not been able to spot any.

No drill as such for us last year. Each time, we checked in on boarding at the designated drill section [can't remember if it was with boarding passes or we had to nip to the cabin for our cruise cards]  and that was that. The 'drill' info., was on a loop on the television.

    edit

It can be done any time up to around 4pm.

Boarding passes worked on QV last time we did it

The water bombers were out training earlier this week. Quite late for them. They usually start around a month earlier. And they only did two passes of the bay, scooping up and dropping their load.

They were doing the same in the bay at Port de Pollenca in Mallorca last week

I have the  full '24-Jan27 brochure and it most definitely states 4001 to 4042 are metal fronted and so the two mentioned on this thread have glass fronted balconies.

Yep, looking at that photo it looks like the last 3 balcony cabins are glass fronted, but whether glass or metal, they are well worth it
