  1. Same - He tried the Indian pop-up on QV and it was very nice, but I'm not sure I'd pass over an  evening meal in the Grills restaurant for this even with my Diamond perk unless there was nothing we really fancied at all

Can anyone confirm there are TV's in the golden lion on Queen Elizabeth? Have tried looking at pictures but have not been able to spot any.

    Several

No drill as such for us last year. Each time, we checked in on boarding at the designated drill section [can't remember if it was with boarding passes or we had to nip to the cabin for our cruise cards]  and that was that. The 'drill' info., was on a loop on the television.

    edit

It can be done any time up to around 4pm.

Boarding passes worked on QV last time we did it

The water bombers were out training earlier this week. Quite late for them. They usually start around a month earlier. And they only did two passes of the bay, scooping up and dropping their load.

They were doing the same in the bay at Port de Pollenca in Mallorca last week

  5. Jane recieved an email asking her to fill in a new survey today, which she handed off to me and several of the questions involved printed luggage lables including this one

I have the  full '24-Jan27 brochure and it most definitely states 4001 to 4042 are metal fronted and so the two mentioned on this thread have glass fronted balconies.

Yep, looking at that photo it looks like the last 3 balcony cabins are glass fronted, but whether glass or metal, they are well worth it

  7. There is also a sling - just visible in the top L/H corner of the photo, for disabled guests to be assisted into the water. The Pavillion pool is one of my favorite locations on a stormy crossing to relax and read while listening to the house band in the run up to lunch.

  8. The largest table in PG on both QE & QV is usually a mix of solo travellers and couples who always look like they are having a whale of a time, saying that we have met solo travellers in PG who prefer to eat alone, so you are not forced to mix if you don't want to. As already stated the QE & QV Courtyard, situated between the PG & QG restaurants is for alfresco dining.

  9. The Bay of Biscay can be a bit lumpy at that time of year, Madeira is very nice in the run up to Xmas. Our last cruise there was on QE in 2017 and I did write a blog about it Link... , which seems to be a lot about how bouncy the sea was. We did enjoy it though and will be returning in February on QM2.

We have received our OBC benefit from Stockperks for our upcoming 14 night Cunard voyage in May of £150 which has been converted into a credit of $150. We have previously always received $250. On querying this with Stockperks they said for the UK this is correct. Has anyone else receive this change?

I received $250 last week for our 14 night November cruise

  11. We usually buy the Wine packages pre-cruise, but having been disappointed with the selection in the Commodore's collection on our last two cruises we're going to wait until we board before purchasing. We've a huge amount of OBC because of the triple OBC special offer, for November's QA cruise, which we'll struggle to spend.

Can anyone post a more recent version of a bar list, please? I'd be interested whether the Sancerre is still within the package price. There was also a drinkable Rioja within the package 12 months ago. I notice that certain cocktails have increased in price over the course of last year and wonder if they've increased again recently.

When I was last on board (February, 2023) I was interested to try the English sparkling wine but there was none on board. Does anyone know if they currently have this available on Queen Elizabeth?

Here's the Chart Room menu from October 23 Page 31 0nwards are the Fizz and Whites not a massive selection though - A small Sancerre is $11.70

  13. You should have already uploaded passport, NOK, and insurance in My Cunard. The Check in process is just to upload a photo and associate a credit card with your cruise and the photo doesn't matter that much, they retook mine on our last cruise at the check-in desk
