That looks almost exactly like the meal we were served. Very overcooked, black something or other inside, and tasted burned. I stand by my original description of "almost inedible."
Black something or other is the mushroom pate and that is the color it should be.

Our cabin was in the 60s our entire last cruise. It's been a long time since we've had a cabin that we considered warm and never anything approaching 80 degrees.

So, no one knows if the Splendor has starlink? I guess I will ask John Heald.
I might ask in a current cruise Splendor roll call.
In the past I've cruised on Splendor in Southern and Northern Europe, around Cape Horn, and through the Panama Canal. The "old" Internet might not have been super fast, but I found it acceptable. I just wish they had unlimited plans back then, instead of by the minute.

Gambling losses are red flags
There are many red flag. The IRS doesn't have the resources to audit everyone.

Nope - same bucket, anyway you look at it!
One of your employees does all of the work and the rest do none. Do you care? All the work gets done. Same bucket.

Not really - it all goes into the same eventual big bucket!
Corporate expects a certain ROI from each entity. They are separate.

Significantly less than 1% of taxpayers are audited.

It's all Carnival, accept it 😉
It's all Carnival Corp, but the casino and cruise line are separate.

They are a lot more generous with their "Drinks on Us Everywhere" "bribery" program though. 😁
I recall, pre-Covid, the only way to get (what was essentially) free CHEERS was to book an Elite cruise. Now virtually all my casino offers include it. I will say, that is a carrot worth several hundred!
Tom
That's via casino marketing, not Carnival marketing. The people who actually pay for Cheers should protest, as it means they can wait even longer for their drinks.

Norway is killing (traditional, big cruise ship) access to it's fjords in 2026. That's already been decided. My sister is doing one on RCCL this year in June before the ban. I think Norway may allow the gas turbine ships (LNG) sometime in the future, but guessing they would have to be sub 5000 pax vessels for some of the smaller ports.
LNG may not be good enough, but many interesting alternatives are being investigated, including battery powered for a day.

yep Carnival thinks there prices are good enough don't really need the loyalty program, best perks come from the MGM casino not Carnival
Yep. Carnival isn't interested in a bidding war for fickle customers who need enticements.

Made it home late Thursday. Got to the Parking Spot and the remote for my vehicle did nothing. Terrific. But I keep spare batteries in the glove box. The remote does have a pop out sort of key so I could open the driver door, but then a new battery didn't improve things. The vehicle battery was completely dead. Thankfully the Parking Spot has a ginormous wheeled jump starter (and compressor!) that they brought out and promptly got the vehicle started.
It seems fine now, so I'm not sure why it was dead, but will find out sooner or later.
Ordered for next trip - portable jump starter - check!

If that's true, then I'm more technologically challenged than I thought, lol. I had no problem accessing the Vegan menu at dinner each night, but never saw the brunch one.
I know it was true on the last sea day brunch when I looked for it to specifically answer this question. Slide to the left.

Except I posted about the clientele that Carnival attracts on New Orleans cruises (due to the catchment area of cruisers within driving distance), not New Orleanians themselves. I'm originally from south Louisiana and know all New Orleanians/ Louisianians are not like that.
In 47 Carnival cruises, I've sailed out of every US homeport except New York, San Francisco, and Norfolk. Approximately 12 of those have been out of New Orleans and I can unequivocally say that the passengers out of New Orleans (not from New Orleans) are some of the 'grossest' and most ill-mannered and uncultured I've seen on any cruises.
I think the grossest passenger I've seen was on a cruise not from New Orleans where a passenger ate off her plate with her fingers while going through the line and kicked her fingers before picking up the next set of rings. When she got to the midpoint, she started swimming upstream against all the passengers coming from the opposite direction insisting they were all going in the wrong direction.

Air Conditioning (Carnival Cut Back by Increasing the Temp)

Bingo. I usually check the mini-fridge temp, also and starting to check outside temps.
