  1. Chatting to fellow passengers recently and they told me they'd transferred a direct booking with Cunard to a travel agent. The conversation moved on so I didn't get an opportunity to ask why they would bother and any possible advantages to doing so. Anyone done this? (UK booking)
  2. As I stated in my post, both Cunard and Oceania have them. Their clients seemed perfectly able to read and follow simple instruction. Both lines also have set opening and closing times (the doors are locked outwith theses hours) so they don’t provide any disturbance to those opposite or next to them.
  3. I don't understand why Celebrity can't provide laundry rooms like other lines. Both Cunard and Oceania have several - roughly one per cabin deck- with washing machines, dryers, an ironing board and a good quality iron. I think it's just a money making scam to have to send out clothes for pressing.
  4. How many Evening Chic nights on a 10 day cruise?
  5. And now they’re both back! Still Pending...must have been a glitch. Thanks to all for your advice.
  6. My husband is the c card holder and he’s not back from work yet...
  7. We’re 29 days pre cruise and had put 2 bids in and they showed as ‘Pending’. Today the entire Move up section has vanished from the Account section. Has this happened to anyone else and what was the outcome? No email yet!
  8. Hi all Just idle curiosity but when do they usually make the labels available? We're 56 days before cruise.
  9. There may be little opportunity to use outdoor pools on a cruise around Britain, even in the so-called summer!
  10. Re your post of wearing a gown and dinner suit in Blu-can’t answer that as we were in the main dining room. However, it seemed on our Reflection Mediterranean cruise that pre-dinner, people were dressier in the Martini bar as opposed to other bars. Our first Celebrity cruise, so don’t know if this is typical or not.
  11. We did our first Celebrity cruise last year after only cruising on Cunard and one, never to be repeated, on Oceania. It was a decision based on lack of choice re itineraries- stuck with the school holidays. As to dress, there were some long dresses on our cruise on chic nights but more cocktail dresses. I would equate it to what people wore for an Informal night on Cunard. Reading these boards, it seems to depend where the cruise is going, as it seems dressier on a Med rather than a Caribbean cruise. We did enjoy our cruise and have booked Celebrity again this summer(again, itinerary choice) but have booked the Baltic cruise on QV for July 2020. Hope this helps.
  12. What really annoys me is not being able to see the fantastic fireworks in Amsterdam on Hogmanay from the comfort of the ship!
  13. Where in Europe do you plan to cruise? There are huge temperature variations from May to September, depending on area.
  14. Can’t remember the name of the bar but it was on the deck below the Martini bar on Reflection. Flatly refused to make a French Martini, not that exotic, and she was pretty rude about it too. (Classic package)
