Sailing on Discovery in a few days, have some OBC to use. How much are the specialty restaurants? Not easily found by me on the website.

Thanks again to all that have replied....mu wife REALLY did not like being under the OV on Solstice, we will be looking for another balcony cabin...

Thanks for the comments so far.
Really had a problem with hearing foot traffic and carts early morning on Solstice when in a Sky Suite years ago, worried about similar noise.

Thinking of reserving a Sunset Veranda on Connie TA 2025 from Rome, only ones available now on Deck 9 - will the noise from Sunset Bar above be overly bothersome?

Does Harmony have an escape room? Is it worthwhile?

On one of our best cruises, the poor waiter continued to mix up my meal with my cruising friend’s meal. Of course, we are both named Bill. This went on EVERY night until the last. We decided to switch places after ordering to see if we would get our appropriate meals - NOPE. Great fun and lots of laughs ( service was excellent despite this).

So, when is the Vegas-style daily "cruise activity fee" ( resort fee) coming???

@Jim_Iain, I appreciate the kind response to my attempt at humor on your statement about eating “Steamed Muscles”.
I just hope some day to be on the same cruise as you and Iain so I can walk and talk with you for awhile, with your permission, of course. Of course, I’ll only be walking 5 miles…Iain, I would want to hear some stories from you as well.

Just talk with your waiter and tell them the portion size you would like. They are pleased to accommodate.
I often order an Appetizer as a Main Course. My favorite is the Steamed Muscles (starter) and is perfect as a dinner portion side.
NOW we know where Jim gets the energy to do those 10 mile walks every day ...

As food options in MDR, Luminae, and Oceanview decline, so too will options at Cafe Al Bacio ( if they already haven't) and specialty restaurants...
Soon there will be only one option.....SOYLENT GREEN !!!!!!

We'll be back on the Eclipse 8 October doing a Pacific Coastal cruise. We like the itinerary (done similar with RC and Celebrity) and ship.
Our group was looking at 2024...only 1 Pacific coast cruise listed for the entire year...ONE ( May on Summit).

Just OTC meds and sundries. No prescriptions. I spend time on or before every cruise looking for a pharmacy. Things I forgot, or things that are liquids that I cannot take on a plane or are too heavy.
I wholeheartedly agree !

Thanks for the comparison between Celebrity and Princess. We have just been looking into trying Princess to sail to Hawaii from California, as Celebrity no longer offers that itinerary. All the information here helps.
Agree. Mostly X cruiser here, have done Princess on Panama Canal transit cruise ( before the new locks), doing another Princess cruise along the Pacific Coast as X now rarely has a cruise there.

Take out one of the underutilized expensive shops. Replace it with a true, well stocked pharmacy. Maybe not a pay extra but Celebrity would make good money on this.
You would have to staff with a real pharmacist (or 2) if wanting to sell meds ( antibiotics, COVID-19 meds, etc.) and there would go 1/2 of your profit margin...

How about bringing back the "midnight buffet" concept for a fee?

yep but it works.
But why should it ?
Why should anyone pay someone in service BEFORE the service is rendered?
Give me a properly made and tasty cocktail and I (may) reward you with a tip commiserate to the service and quality provided....
I don't get paid extra (any) beforehand for a surgery I perform ( OB-GYN).

I'm not familiar with Mad Dog 20/20, but I made a mistake, anyway.
I just saw Solstice, Hawaii, and September and got excited. I'm actually going to Hawaii in September to board the Solstice for a cruise to Sydney, not sailing to Hawaii.🤦🏽♀️
Mamafej, DW and I will be meeting Aussie friends boarding the Solstice to go back to Sydney, maybe we will see you as well !!!

So is Caymus the best red that you can get on board that is sold by the glass?
Quick check on my app for my upcoming cruise ( with Whinenowine, so very excited to sail with a "Celebrity"!) shows that the Caymus red is the most expensive listed red wine by the glass in any venue, including the specialties.
There may be other wines that are not listed on the app that are available ( hope so !).
The "best" red wine is in the taste of the beholder. I like Caymus. I also liked several of the listed red wine on the app when I was on the Silhouette TA in April. Would strongly suggest trying other red wines to see what you like.

They need to repay all the pandemic era debt to repair their balance sheet. Record earnings are great but they've a long way to go--hence the huge price increases and more nickel & dime-ing. Personally I think they should either do an equity offering (yeah, good luck) or a large convertible bond (more likely). Current RCL stock is only about 20% off its all time highs...so a good time to use their strong equity currency to pay down debt. But what do I know.,,.
You know a lot.....about wine 😁.
