  1. We are sailing on the Magic in April. I don't see anywhere to pick our check in time?t I have done the staggered boarding in New Orleans, and selected one for our cruise out of Miami, so I know what to look for, but I am not seeing anywhere. Any one else experience this? Should I call? We don't have FTTF, so I want to get an early time.

    No staggered check-in for Jacksonville

You can check the link to see if Magic is at a port with staggered.

  2. I'm leaning towards booking some treatments ahead of time for DH and I at the spa on the Elation but can't find any info. Ideally we'd wait until we're cruising for a deal, but I want to make sure we can work it around when DD will be at camp carnival.

Can anyone describe the spa? Is it large? Are there areas with the tile lounge chairs to relax together if going for separate treatments? Does the couples massage room have the whirlpool I've seen on other ship videos?

    Any info is appreciated, thanks!

I had a couples massage an a class of ship like Elation. The massage room was a room with a partition they could move to make 2 rooms 1... we could have had the same experience booking separately,

Other than that the gym area has a steam room and a sauna in the locker room area - you can see it on the floor plans. It's open to anyone. There may be a waiting area with couches.

  3. Do you use the little paper card to order breakfast for your OJ? That's my wake-up call on the ship. I order fruit, Danish, and OJ. When they knock on my door it's time to get up and start my day with a mimosa!

Actually I've gotten OJ anytime... so far I've only cruised with people having a cold. So we ordered lots of OJ

  4. Actually you can. As long as they are not doubles, or in a souvenir glass (except for that one shot that is $60....

    So order double shots. :)

    [Last Barman poem]

"I see America drinking the fabulous cocktails I make

Americans getting stinky on something I stir or shake

    The sex on the beach

    The schnapps made from peach

    The velvet hammer

    The Alabama slammer.

I make things with juice and froth

    The pink squirrel

    The three-toed sloth.

I make drinks so sweet and snazzy

    The iced tea

    The kamakazi

    The orgasm

    The death spasm

    The Singapore sling

    The dingaling.

America you've just been devoted to every flavor I got

But if you want to got loaded

Why don't you just order a shot?"

  5. We rented a car at MCO and returned it near Port Canaveral - I checked my emails, we used Dollar. The rental for a full day was less than our return shuttle (for 4), $65 for a mid-size SUV.

The guys dropped us ladies off at the port and returned the car to the rental location. Instead of taking the shuttle they opted to meet an Uber at a 7-11 so they could make a last stop for snacks.

  6. What is it you want to know? Is someone on a booked cruise? If so, when? The storm has passed Jacksonville.

Looking to find out if her car is ok... the Parking Mall posted a video of their lot so it looks like cars are ok in the area... but I think there will be another surge today.

Boat is looking to return Sunday instead of today

  7. My keyboard is acting up so there are a lot of typos in that message. I was saying I need it to communicate with family

& I wrote that your price quote was off.

the social media package is $5 per day. We used that for f-book messenger because our ship didn't have HUB.

HUB is $5 per person and has it's own chat

  9. By some act of God, my friend was able to convince Carnival to let us have 2 balconies! :D They are side by side, but not adjoining. Will we be able to have the divider removed, so we can share the balcony? If we have the divider removed, does it really matter if our rooms are adjoined or not? Also, can we flip-flop roommate either before or at check-in?

    Thanks!

So if you want to know in advance you will want to research the rooms to see what balcony door location they have. We had to adjacent balconies on Valor but the balcony divider couldn't be removed 4c8d88c6de4410d9d394feb0ec44cfac.jpg9da2f4ace3b8fbac5002006bde2a9c2f.jpg our doors were next to each other so they couldn't swing the divider over. If the door was on the other side, 1 couple would have had a window blocked

  10. Yeah, I think you're stuck with the suite for the better rate. Is it a grand suite or an ocean suite? The grand ones look like they have a bigger balcony.

As far as FTTF that's dependent on what you need it for. It didn't give our friends (across the hall in a suite) priority debarkation on the last day, nor did they have access to the guest services line. The did get VIP check-in and more stuff in the room but that was it, which was why I suggested a 2nd room across the hall.

Perhaps you can take turns showering at the gym? It too bad suites aren't located closer to it on that ship, nor do they have the 2nd 1/2 bath.

  11. It is for the Pride, and I believe it is a sofa and an upper Pullman.

Is a 2nd room across the hall an option? I realize splitting expenses might pose more of an issue that way.
