If the shower in your room is too difficult maybe check out the one in the gym?
I'm not sure what part of your leg you broke but if a knee scooter is a possibility get one of those.

Probably testing it out, I wish it happened on our Elation Cruise this December, I'd love to see another port or have port day spa discounts.
I realize you may not have as many activities on a port day vs Sea day but at least they are paying the port fees.

I wouldn't do a facial on a cruise unless it was on the last day.
The skin on my face is sensitive to the sun and I wouldn't want to have any issues I photos etc.

The cruise has been off the sites for a couple of weeks now. It is a 12 day repositioning cruise with a partial Panama canal. While not a part of a specific group I have sailed with about 80 of those booked. When the partial canal was announce the cruise price jumped and sales went through the roof.
No charter no special performer.
Doesn't look like repositioning to me, but it also doesn't look like the typical itinerary either

Can Splendor really be sold out for February 26, 2017? I've never seen a cruise be completely full 10 months ahead of time.
I asked our PVP if there is a charter and he assured us there is not. We are already booked with friends. Another couple wants to join us but, alas, the sailing doesn't show up on Carnival.com.

OP, let me get this straight. You are already booked with another couple on a Splendor cruise on 2/26/2016 and another couple you know says they are interested in joining you but when you go online & contact your PVP no rooms are available (I checked it's not online)...
I don't know what a ship looks like online when it's full. (I checked my Friends ship for this weekends sailing and it didn't show up, so u assume sold out.)
Is there a performer during this or something?
When I did a Google search for your dates it showed up on TA sites. So maybe some non-Carnaval TA's are holding rooms?
Maybe your PVP can check with Carnival to see what's going on or keep an eye out for rooms opening due to cancelations.

How'd you hear that Jan schedule opens July? Past experience? This is actually more helpful for me, as I'm trying to earn miles, but I am curious about flights.
It was June or July it's now May

We just use a card we can hide in the room, empty gift card, store rewards car, etc.... I'm told that staff can break into the safes if you're left at port and need your passport to fly to the next port (we use passport ids at port.) -- in case you're worried about losing the card

So this photo depicts all the inside cabins on the Verandah deck (11) during our December cruise... The un-highlighted inside ones are the ones they are allowing us to select since we are 2 passengers (highlighted is for 3).
I went with V40 since we didn't need to be adjacent to anyone, and I thought not having a neighbor on one side might me good.
How concerned should we be about being close to the elevator?

We were on Deck Six (Upper Deck) with cabins above and below us. Very quiet. The Grand Suites are down on level six as well at mid-ship.
I would think that the verandah deck would be very quiet at night - when it matters most. You have officer's quarters below you and the fitness center and spa above you. No restaurants or bars. Some noise during the morning and day if the fitness center gets heavy use.
Thanks, we're gym users (we even shower there when we have an inside cabin). I did not know about the officers quarters.

Sounds about what my fare was probably $37, wanted to tip for the bags we didn't have too, and we didn't want to wait for an uber (the rest of our group was already on the ship w/o FTTF and we paid for FTTF.)
I also don't know if it makes a difference but the cab picked us up at the rental car/ garage area.

This was the opportunity we got to have the old rate added. We were assured that the crew will get the added amount so we didn't chose to prepay, we are ok with the increase.
