I think it's nice how some get concerned when a regular goes missing for a while.

So lovely that you all are missing him. They are having a lovely time in Vietnam and Cambodia. They have been putting heaps of photos on Facebook. I love cruise critic best way to make friends before cruising and helps newbies like me learn sooooo much :)

I am in cabin 6206 on 13 March 2017 also doing the Great Barrier Reef cruise. Will let you know all about the cabin. From what I've read it will be fine with an outlook over the tender boats. Helen

Called Celebrity today and got our cabin changed to 6204. Fingers crossed we don't mind the obstructions.

They offered an upgrade with a cost but said would have to cancel the booking and get a refund and rebook. Thought that was strange.... So just changed cabin.

I will definitely be asking to change cabins away from the smoking area. Both my friend and myself are bad asthmatics and smoking sets off our asthma.

We knew when we booked this cruise (South Pacific, March 2016) that we were booking a guarantee cabin but hey when you get a Balcony for the price of an Inside with the Classic Beverage Package included, and it would probably be a partially obstructed view - fine with that.

Would really like to find out exactly how much obstruction we have so if anyone is familiar with Category 2D - cabin 6205 and has some information would really appreciate it. Have had a look on the spreadsheet but there isn't any info there on this cabin or one close to it.

How was the cabin? How obstructed was the view? We have this cabin booked but didn't realise it had an obstructed view:eek:

We avoid the crowds by arriving about 1:00.

We are on the ship with our glass of bubbles in hand about the time cabins are ready. Drop off carry luggage and then head to buffet or Aqua Spa for lunch- no crowd as all the early boarders have ate and are tired of sitting around waiting for the cabins to open.

Sorry if this sounds silly but I didn't realise we could get on board so early, I thought we could only get on a couple of hours before. That's great, thanks for the advise!!! :D

The price depends on the cruise. The length of cruise is not always an indication on what the price may be.

 

Our latest cruise was 17-nights yet the photo package [all prints PLUS digital copies downloaded from the website] was the cheapest we have ever purchased - purchased pre-cruise.

 

On board, the advertised price was US$350 but you could purchase on "special offer" for US$250. We purchased online at mycruisephotos.com for US$199. I usually budget for approximately US$250 purchasing in advance.

 

It is very hit and miss when [and, even, if] the package will be available in advance although not usually more than a month pre-cruise. You need to keep checking the website although you can register your interest and they should, then, email you when your cruise is available. As far as I can tell, there are limited packages available in advance and, it is possible, the price can increase. I have been told by another cruiser that they paid more than we did on one of our cruises.

I'm going on the 10 day Italy/Croatia cruise May 2016 so it's too soon to find on the cruise list.

I'm a little confused what does the package actually include?? Is just photos/digi prints or does it include a dvd also?
