  1. I will be on the Edge in two weeks. For the current sailing, the app shows escargot on the “classic” part of the menu every night.
  2. Edge has four main dining rooms (MDR) that are included: Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Cypress, and Tuscan. If you have the app, look at the current sailing for Edge, and there are menus for every night, every venue. I am cruising on Edge March 6, and that sailing does not have the menus yet, but the current one does. Your husband can still order chicken every night. I don’t know who told you that was gone, but that’s not correct. But they have condensed the menu compared to just a few months ago.
  3. As usual, the Celebrity website is unclear and inconsistent. But this FAQ is dated 2023. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/CEL_Beverage_Package_FAQs.pdf
  4. What is the price breakdown? How much are taxes and port fees? If the base fare is $1849x2, that is $3698 for two. Are the taxes and port fees $687? That does seem high. Are you going somewhere with unusually high port fees? Are you trying to book as a solo and have to pay the solo supplement?
  5. You forgot to add the 18% service charge added on top of the beverage package, which makes it $70.79/day. So paying for the plus beverage package for one person, along with gratuities, may be more than getting the plus fare for two. The Plus Beverage Package is US $59.99 per day plus 18% service charge (totaling $70.79 per day) for all itineraries except Australia.
  6. Me too, just this morning. Are you on the Sky TA Oct 29? As soon as 60 days became 59 days, the arrival groups opened up for us and we were able to choose an arrival time. Although I’ve read that it probably doesn’t even matter, as the people at the port don’t even check. I imagine it varies by port and maybe even how busy it is on a particular day.

  8. Bistro sur la Mer is a specialty dining restaurant.
  9. Was the menu different from the one on the Princess website? The sample menu doesn’t seem very seafood-heavy, it shows just a few items on the whole menu, and only one seafood pasta. Sabatini Does anyone have a link to a more recent menu, particularly on the Sky? My husband may be less interested in going if they’re mostly offering fish. But so long as lasagna is still being offered, he’ll be good.
  10. The point of a cruise is different for everyone. I cruise to spend time with my husband, away from the demands of work. On our last cruise, we watched Bonnie and Clyde in our cabin after dinner one evening, and it was divine (Carnival had AMC, and they were doing 30 days of Oscars, so every movie was an Oscar winner). We don’t get that kind of time together at home, because we work long hours on opposite schedules. I see all the people laying out in the sun on a cruise, and I’m wondering, who would do that? Ugh. I can lay in the sun at home, and my neighborhood has three pools. But they’re doing what they want to do, and I’m doing what I want to do.
