Exactly - as a software guy it would harm him more than help - loosing work again and again....his clients would be furious ......it is not like he is checking mails or watching TV at a bar...
-
There will be lots of interruptions or even no signal at all ( pause ) in the middle of the transatlantic ( pause ) for about 4 days - not even a live news TV signal available in that area....
I even think my dog understood your original post's intent.
Hey, but good job on the creative editing of your subsequent posts
The US schooling system must really suck - if your dog is smarter than you....:p
-
No not even maybe - read again and try to look up the words....
It said very spotty and no signal AT TIMES!
That does not say NO SIGNAL at all FOR 4 straight days!
-
Nobody said that!
You should work on your reading skills.....
It was VERY spotty for 4 days and usually is and there was hardly any internet for 2 days....only a very few minutes on those days with lots of interruptions...
He is not anticipating to just check his mails but WORK on the internet - that would not be possible during those times!
Also the constant interruptions would seriously throw a him out of his work and even harm what he was doing before....
-
Well, shoot.....my hopes are dashed. :(
He gets frustrated in hotels with the slow connections so I am guessing he would not be able to perform his job up to par. The only way he could take off 3 1/2 weeks would be to tell the clients he would be able to work on the sailing back.
Maybe he could fly back and I could take the transatlantic back......:D
If he is not happy with internet at hotels he truly will be crushed on a transatlantic.....
On the Harmony TA there was no internet for about 2 days in the middle due to the southern route and weather...
-
Dazzels is making a LOT of noise!

No!
It is a 90's party and it is mega lame - as you can not see a lot....
-
I'm sure there will be a special meal served on Christmas night.
Really?!
I would not be sooo sure....:p

Just wait until you find out there is no solarium pool!:D
It has been on the plans for years tooo....
4 pools including the Solarium, an adults-only retreat*
*During inclement weather and select hours, the ship may permit the Solarium Pool to be used by persons under age 16 provided they are directly supervised by a parent or guardian.

My question is, do the staff have any idea who removes the auto grats? I know it's not a popular move, but I'm seriously considering removing this sailing.
I seriously doubt they will spend time and effort to distribute a list...why would they? It is just a urban myth that is kept up here on CC to discourage people from removing...
I you want to make sure...just remove on the last night....

Would love to have non-smoking Casino! They would get Much more of our $ if non-smoking! Currently on a ship (for 3rd week in a row) and smoke is horrible. Poor ventilation. Can't "air out" as smokers are in there even when casino not open. Numerous people in there in the evenings smoking and NOT playing AND NOT drinking. Just taking up chairs blocking the machines. They don't even pretend to gamble. They just squat on a stool facing away fom the machines and puff away!
So what???
It is non of your business what they do - you do not own the ship or make the rules....
-
You can just adjust your tipping to your own policy....no need to avoid RCI!:)
-
They will never do that - if they did it would bring prices down and people would be taken off their guild trip......
That is how this scam works - you auto gratuity them and then you hand them WOW envelopes and then you make them stand up in the dining room every night to applaud the hard working staff ( when service has declined to a very mediocre level ).....that's how you get people to feel guilty and empty their pockets!
-
No - I can go more often! Sorry!:D
-
It is not a scam! it is a systemm agreed upon by management and staff.
Raina
Exactly!
And currently I get to choose if I want to join in or not!:p
-
I hate to tip to a pool of people that are not even front line employees that I get into contact with - it does not make sense to me!
I think the whole tipping thing - the way they handle it - is a scam by the cruise line and I refuse to be part of that scam.
The whole thing is a black-box nobody knows what is really happening with their tips - if I tip somebody I want to give it to THEM and not into a pool of people....
Since that option does not exist on RCI - I just remove my tips and use the money elsewhere...
-
No reservations for shows needed!
if you go early you can save as many seats for yourself as you want!:p
-
Or cancel auto-tips and buy yourself a present!:D

So what? Her experience on Celebrity was interesting information. And often what happens on one RCCL brand starts happening on another.
Well we do not know any details and can not even judge what ways there are with X to take out OBC - I am assuming there are ways on X also....
Maybe you have to book an excursion there and cancel it...or something like that....
And the whole thing is so peculate anyway just because they made this move in one region now people worry they can not use OBC in the Casino any-more...
I am more worried there will be travel restrictions in the US - just like there were when Fidel took over Cuba...:p
-
This is the RCI forum!
-
Do not worry on Harmony they will change your dining around anyway :p- always in the direction you do not want.....:D
We had traditional booked for 18 month on embarkation day they claimed it always had been MTD - because that is what their computer said...and the computer ( not the customer ! ) is ALWAYS right on Harmony!
-
They will use the space they saved by not building the solarium pool on Harmony!:D
Harmony experienced compared to Oasis/Allure
in Royal Caribbean International

This is SOP on Harmony - the guest is always the problem - guest are dump and a problem - it comes from upper management on Harmony - when interacting with the heads of certain departments you will experience the same attitude - Harmony management has an attitude problem towards the guests and they are incapable to run a smooth operation - so it is easier to blame their incapability on the guest.
