  1. The porters only put it on a luggage carrier. The main handling is done by the crew members after that.
  2. It sounds like their short on crew members. What other things will be cut back or eliminated?
  3. Oh, that explains it all. She should be using a scooter and she could have beat the drunk to the door.
  4. When it's a story like that one, it most definitely is fabricated. Although entertaining. 😅
  5. I wouldn't suggest it at 1:25 PM but they probably would still let you in.
  6. We've been carrying our own luggage on for years now and as long as my husband can lift my heavy bag onto the table, will continue to do so. I doubt if I could handle it. It's so nice to have the suitcase ready to unpack immediately after lunch.
  7. Oh, not at all. We just nod & say have a good night as leaving. It just that some people (especially newbies) feel that the closeness of those types of tables compels then to have a conversation. Why they choose that type of table to begin with is strange. Sit at a large table & enjoy the conversation leaving the tables for 2 for those that really want one.
  8. Yea, but it teaches me new ways of scamming the system that I might not have thought of before.
  9. All I know is that if the story is even partially true, I want a Medallion similar to that one. Our would only work from 3 cabins away last cruise.
  10. Same here. Who needs all that meaningless chitchat during dinner when we just want a quiet dinner & to leave early for the show? People have all day long to talk so why is talking during dinner is so important, I'll never know.
  11. They were on the Enchanted but I've never seen anyone using one.
  12. That also provides an Elite setup in each cabin. 😁
  13. In that situation it's a little hard to get to you cabin anyhow.
  14. I always leave the ship to unload items in my car during a B2B and when allowed back on the ship I always go to my cabin to get rid of my carry on suitcase. Although I've never experienced a closed fire door, when and if I do, I'll simply open it & proceed to my cabin. On what ship did they have the doors closed? The Enchanted in March had their doors open on our deck, except for the Covid cabin side when we boarded (early).
  15. So your saying that that people who were doing a B2B could not go to their cabins until everyone else had access?
  16. There's always a way to get to the cabin. What about the people doing a B2B? They have to have access to their cabin.
  17. We've never had any problem leaving our luggage in the cabin as soon as we arrived, even when the cabin was being prepared. Just leave it there & go to lunch letting the crew member finish their job.
  18. You aunt & cousin must be real slooooow walkers. LOL 😁😁 We've used the medallions on numerous cruises and have yet to find one problem with them on the ship. Every feature they claim works like a charm.
  19. All I can say is that on the Enchanted last March and April they let people wear shorts at dinner in all the dining rooms. (casual nights)
  20. You might as well invite them to the Platinum/Elite lounge, have them give you their laundry and stick with you on the priority tender.
  21. I don't know how true that statement is but I'll be following up on your observances for a prime table in the future. 😁
  22. It really sound promising that it might change for our next Enchanted trip. It requires much less crew to run the buffet.
  23. 2 separate dining rooms would definitely work for those formalists who would like to see everyone dressed up similarly to themselves but it's impossible to dedicate the crew and DR for it to happen. Princess has a difficult time right now just trying to seat everyone during a formal night, no less trying to segregate into a separate DR based upon style of dress. btw- decent shorts to me are perfectly OK on casual evenings. It worked for many people on our last Caribbean cruise and no one seemed to be to upset about it.
  24. It's been suggested for years now (on CC) and just can't be done. Princess doesn't have the crew nor the DR space to accommodate the 2 groups so their solution to the situation has recently changed to that of just letting people decide for themselves what is appropriate. If people enjoy dressing up, then it can still give then the same satisfaction without having to force others to conform to a "standard" of dress. This is similar to what other cruise lines have begun quite a while ago.
  25. Depending on the time of day your best spot would usually be Take 5, especially if it's a sea day the place is never crowded. The skywalk area is always a little crowded beginning at 10 AM on a sea day.
