Thanks! Never thought of that - great idea. We've just had a supply of Cornish Gouda (!) delivered direct from the farm, our meat comes to the door from local butchers, so why not fish.
Harry had delivery this week from Scotland, Whole Scampi and King Prawns. Been getting Smoke Salmon and Kippers also during the lock down. Also pies from Goddard's all washed down with wine from Adnams. it is a tough life!

That's good news as over 70s are group 4.
Hopefully Jenny will get her vaccine invitation soon.
Got our call today, local village surgery Oxford version 8th February. Both together.

Just because it isn’t to your taste, it doesn’t mean it’s a dim scatter gun approach. It’s modern digital marketing. This is part of a multi billion pound organisation, it isn’t a group of nursery children painting by numbers.
Nursery children might have more success at this moment in time!

Hi Avril. If you are concerned about your husband getting his vaccine and want to go to Leeds I will be happy to pick him up and take him, the same applies to you.
Brilliant offer, well done, Clap Clap!
Might also be helpful to ask her, if she rides Tandem?

Thanks Graham. It is a life changing illness but it’s a case of accepting it and finding different ways of doing things. There are a lot of people in a worse position both mentally/physically/ financially than me so I am thankful for the position I am in with a supportive family and lovely friends. And now I have found this forum I have more friends to talk to.
Michelle
My wife is in the same situation, however she is maybe a little more fortunate,in that she has me to look after her! 😄

That was me too for the last few days Andy. Gave myself a real good talking to this morning and a swift kick up the backside (metaphorically speaking of course, I'm not contortionist😁) Sorry I can't help with the grey though, but I'm told Grecian 2,000 is quite good.😇
Avril
Avril Good Morning
Been overtaken by the more efficient and modified Grecian 2021 comes in an Urn!☺️

DG you must spend all your waking hours trawling the web for all these stories unless there is a shortcut way of requesting just the negative data?
Sorry, this is a form of bullying, DG has every right to post what she feels is relevant to her and that she feels might be of interest to others, as readers of her posts we can can decide what is relevant to us. All posts are relevant in there way, and help to build the bigger picture.Just be kind!

Is that a measured opinion, or merely your own desire?
IMHO either could go because I have reservations about both, Arcadia might be OK if its accessible balcony cabins were bigger, and Aurora had too many niggles to encourage me to book another cruise on her.
Very measured, but do not need to answer to you!

48 minutes ago, terrierjohn said:
Why do you think that? Arcadia is younger, has more balcony cabins and being powered by azipods she is far more manoeuvreable than Aurora.
Because that is my humble opinion!

Thanks Mercury. I haven't looked at the 2022 cruises yet, I'm stll trying navigate my way through 2021. I don't mean to be a Jonah, but look what happened with Oriana and Oceana!!

26 minutes ago, wowzz said:To be honest, that means nothing. Historically P&O have continued to sell cruises on ships right up until the day they announce the ship has been sold.

Aware of all that just think if any were to leave in the next 12-18 months Arcadia would be first on the list IMHO.

Which ship, does anyone know? Please, please, please not Aurora or Arcadia🤞
Avril
Avril, they are marketing a 2022 99 day cruise on Aurora at present so I think she is safe.

Its only one extra ship to what had previously been announced. Was 18 ships in total, now 19 and 15 have left so far.
Yep ,that's my understanding.

Anyone expecting an announcement tomorrow from P&O about the Pause.
Yes, maybe! because other brands in the same stable have announced further pauses to the City in the last week, and also his nibs, in a recent video, said that he would give an update late December or early in the New Year

You old cynic you😊 I was thinking the same as I was replying to Arlwood's post. The late balance payment date will be for everyone due to cruise during that time frame regardless of who you booked with. When I once booked through a TA any letters sent to them from P&O regarding our cruise were then posted on to me.
Avril
Just had a reminder to pay the balance for 1st May cruise from TA. Gently reminded them that they have not replied to queries raised by me in 2 sent e-mails, first sent in December.and also that P&O had shortened the final payment date from 90 to 30 days. But Hay, these things happen when offices are closed and staff are working from home.

22000 miles in 15 months! Crikey Graham, I thought you were a rep! I did more than that in 6 months just driving to the office and back, let alone going to JS, Asda or Tesco HQs.
40,000 miles per year, for 15 years, some scary times! back ended twice, front blow out at 80 plus on great north road, careering sideways in outside lane, also on another occasion evasive action taken by my guardian angel, causing me to off road, up onto an embankment at 50 plus in the fog on the same road, after van overtook at speed and then pulled into my lane and slammed on its anchors.

If my sources are correct, the CLIA and the cruise lines know already the details they are asking for - when the ban will be lifted and how/when they can restart.
The CLIA just want the government to speak it in public so that their marketing is in line with published government advice. Otherwise the next marketing push for 2021 cruises will look like cruise lines stabbing in the dark.
Total respect. however, is this not stabbing in the dark? Marketing teams were known as the cloud 9 department, nothing seems to have changed?

I am very easy to please with food and will try anything but I detest coriander, coconut and beef.
Oh dear, I understand that the visual Christmas lunch mains, were to be Beef and Coriander Roast, with a Coconut Dew, suggest you have a word with the Chef, she may be prepared to do a vegetarian option-- a carrot! freshly dug and hand washed in water from the glaciers, imported via the human system and deposited in the out houses in Barnsley, and left to ferment for seven days, until clear!

No nerve boyo!
Just an empty bottle!
Have family over there, but further west at the Docks and Manorbier
Will P&O now delay announcements for future cruise pauses?

Agree with all of this, also makes me smile when marketing bods are talking to marketing bods.
