  1. Thanks 😊 happy you made it over for another adventure 😀
  2. I love piano bar. They don't have that on Celebrity but another favorite of mine is silent disco which they offered every single night on my last cruise. I love listening to music in general while enjoying a beverage and then I remembered one of my favorite things about the celebrity app, it loads before the cruise. So I had to take a peek. Looks like this time on Sunday I will be winding down silent disco and about to head to the sky lounge for some more live music. For now the only music is in my car as I head into work for an overnight shift 😞 Say my name 🎶
  3. Nice! Never done VV. It's been on my to do list since day one and somewhere along the way of reading review after review, I realized I was reading the same story with different characters. I have to wonder how sustainable that is for the brand long term with identical ships and experiences. I've just kinda scratched my VV itch without ever sailing them. If the stars lined up I would still love to give them a try though. Enjoy your trip and thanks for following along 😀
  4. I sure hope so! I was in the boy scouts growing up though and the motto was always be prepared!
  5. Welcome! Glad you made it. Please put the button on defrost, just in case 😂 I'm ready! Well figuratively. Really, I have a lot to do. I have added packing to the done list. Mostly done, just a few items to throw in still. Glad to have you along again!
  6. Thank you! Glad to have you hear for it 🙂 You are too kind 😁 Thanks for following along I am looking forward to taking you with me!
  7. She is so busted!! When I follow her gaze what do I see sitting on my dresser waiting to be packed? I'm packing the OG mobile bar on the left not the new one on the right. It holds more but the Carnival logo is a little too prominent to bring on Celebrity 😆. Of course it's not the real OG since I lost it onboard last cruise but it is the same style and once I start using it I can convince myself it's the same one.
  8. I've got a helper. Packing should be done quick. Laying down on the job.
  9. Packing has commenced. I got a shirt for Christmas that I'm gonna wear to make new friends.
  10. Things I've done to get ready for this trip so far: 1.Pay for it 2.Start a live review of the shenanigans I will get up to Thing I've still got to do: 1.Everything else
  11. It's official! I am able to take off on another cruise this Sunday! Even though it has only been just over a month since I've been stuck on dry land, it feels like ages and I am excited to put my sea legs back on!!! Here is the link to the review I just started on the Celebrity boards. I don't know anyone on those boards since I don't travel Celebrity very much so I would love to see some familiar faces (names?) join me for this review as I head back out on the water!!
  12. Thumbnail: My first Celbrity cruise was on the Reflection back in 2020 (early 2020 obviously). I was going to search for a royalty free picture of the ship to post for the CC thumbnail image for this review but then I remembered I've been on this ship, so I must surely have a picture I took myself. Nope. I have a few pictures of the ship side by side Enchantment of the Seas, mostly blocked from view by Enchantment, but only just this one of part of Reflection. Thankfully, it's the best part. Boat booty shot! Nice aft!
  13. Hello everyone! I'm getting ready to sail out for another adventure on Sunday and I plan to do a live review of my time on board. This time I will be sailing on the Celebrity Reflection for six days. After two of my last three trips were 26, and 56 days, this cruise is going to fly by in the blink of an eye, but I am excited for a little mini adventure none the less. I'm 36 and live less than two hours away from the big three ports in Florida. Port Canaveral is my favorite as it is easy to get in and out of but Ft. Lauderdale is not terrible. Miami is a beast. Traffic should not be too bad on Sunday in Ft. Lauderdale, but one accident on 95 and all bets go out the window. At least I am close either way. This will be a solo trip for me. Most of my cruises are solo and I enjoy the flexibility of doing whatever I want, whenever I want. Since I travel on casino rates, I don't pay double most times so that is an added bonus and makes solo travel more affordable, especially since Celebrity seems to be charging MORE than 200% to sail solo. Outrageous. Port stops this trip are Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Bimini. I have no formal plans for any of the ports. I will likely take a quick stroll around Cozumel and possibly Bimini if it's not too hot and I haven't partied too hard the night before. Grand Cayman has about a 90% chance of being a stay on the ship day. I have never used my elite port day spa pass benefit even though I always say I am going to, so this will be a good day to take advantage of it. If you have any questions about the ship feel free to ask away and I will do my best to find out. I won't have much insight to the ports since I do not plan on doing much, if anything. I also won't have access to the retreat or be able to answer any questions about that area or the people working there. Here is a link to my last review, to get a feel for what this trip will be like and determine if its something you are interested in (please say yes, I love a big and engaging audience to banter with along the way 🙂) Like that one, this will be mostly eating and drinking and obsessing over how much weight I am putting on 😮. Not a lot of technical details and tips to help the obsessive planner out, but if you have a specific question, like I said ask away and I will do my best. This one will of course be much shorter, since it will be 6 days instead of 26 😁 I hope you will join me for this cruise onboard the beautiful Celebrity Reflection!
  14. Thanks, me too! I can't help but play the "where should I be right now" game with myself after having to cancel my trip for this week.
  15. So like I thought may happen, plans fell through and I had to cancel my 1/8 and 1/13 cruise (and another in April). Next up now is Celebrity Reflection 1/28 and I feel like that one has good odds of going off as planned. I also have a last minute $50 room offer from Carnival. They sure know how to reel me back in sooner rather than later 🙂. I'd like to do one more trip on Liberty before she moves to New Orleans. It's my favorite of the Conquest class sisters, it is so pretty inside. But for the same $50, if I could get on Horizon, Celebration or Mardi Gras I would probably pick one of those instead. Just waiting to see when things get a little more stable at work and then I will see what I can snatch up, those rooms go quick and can often be gone in the time it takes to click on book. It's just as well I had to cancel, my weight loss journey is going very slow. I'm currently down 11.8 lbs since leaving Magic 17 days ago. I tried on my skinny clothes and while I was able to button them up, they were incredibly tight and would not have survived ten days of poor diet choices. Now I can have a little more time to work on getting back into them. Wherever I land next, I will be sure to post a link here to the next review.
  16. I forgot to post my final weight update. I returned from the trip +15.8 lbs which was 1.2 lbs over what I ended my TA trip at so slightly over goal, but not terribly so. With the holidays I am not getting it off as quickly as I would have hoped. So far I am down 6.4 since getting off of the cruise. I would like to get it all off before I start my next trip but it is not looking good. Truthfully I was hoping to get more than the 16 off because I really want to wear my smaller clothes, I don't really have any clothes that fit as all my other clothes are from when I was 300 LBS and are way way too big on me at this point.
  17. Enjoy your trip on the Magic! Those Emeril choices were very good. I really enjoyed the new menus they did a really great job with them. I failed with the ducks. I forgot to load them in the car (or unpack them from my suitcase for that matter). Ooops. Thanks for reading along!
  18. Thanks for following along! Hope to sail with you again someday! Those TAs in 2025 are quite the bargain right now. Thanks for following along! Glad you enjoyed it.
  19. Plating is not their strong suit for sure. Then again, as my buffet plates demonstrate, it's not mine either 😄. Next cruise is on Celebrity who takes great care in careful presentation. The food, IMHO, is over rated though and selection is pitiful. I will be sure to post a link when I start that review. I found the fried bread when I went on that four day in November. I hope to find it again and if so I will be having at least a piece a day 😋 Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading along!
