It truly was.

That was really nice. I sat back here at the aft of the ship and just admired the setting Sun and soaked in how incredibly lucky I am to be here and witness such a beautiful sight while sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. Words....I just can't find them to describe it. This will be a memory I look back on and smile for many years to come. Going to head back to the room to change for dinner and then head to the casino to check on the drink situation before heading to eat.

For Florida ports, Miami sailaway is #1, but Ft. Lauderdale is a nice second.

The sunset is gorgeous tonight. Words can't describe it and my photography skills can't truly capture it. But it's a stunner.

The front view is blocked by glass but the view is unobstructed just about to the front. Happy with my view here, I think I'm on 15.

Sitting near the mast grill and those burgers sure do smell good. Dinner menu doesn't look super appealing I am very tempted to grab a burger and do a late lightish dinner.

House band sounds good. I'm upstairs away from the crowds but I like what I hear. I think it just switched to a DJ playing music but the band sounded good. I'm used to closer to 4 but whenever we push off is fine longer before I burn my free internet minutes 😆

Maybe I was too late but it was not there when I showed up. True. And it's the only time I hope to hear it this week 🙏

Didn't sleep but dozed a little. Announcements didn't start till about 415 so I got out of bed on my own at least. Up top now. Princess and Apex have left. Still see Oydessy

I meant the overhead announcements that come into the room. Hard to sleep through seven long blasts followed by one long blast on the ship's speaker 🙂

Heading to the room until sail away. Doubt I will get a nap in since drills will start soon but I may rest my eyes and see what happens.

That's what I'm thinking since I will only have my elite drinks each day after I finish my carry on.

No bubbly here either. I'm on the fence about what to do now. Drinks are free at the casino for players but I have no idea if the service is sufficient to be worthwhile. I planned to test it out before dinner but they don't indicate free drinks until 6. I may purchase a bottle at dinner. I don't really need two bottles but one is not going to get me through the night unless i fall asleep. I'm sure I could buy a bottle from the wine bar though if the casino bar service is too slow instead of dinner. Happy this is my biggest problem to tackle right now.

I've always had good results with their bread pudding. Yum 😋.

Busy day in port. Some dam ship And the Apex.

Got my exercise before going to the gym. Elevators were mobbed sou took the stairs. Stopped off at the room instead to charge the phone. I was careful to not make a mess in case they room was not ready for me. Got a little charge and left the room since I'm not supposed to be there yet. Now I'm at the gym 🏋️‍. Getting in two miles then may peek at the sauna but I want to see if al bacio has the welcome drink for me before they put it away.

Way better cakes over there although the new pre cut cakes aren't that good the ones they slice from the whole cake are quite tasty. These were meh but glad I tried them. The Cafe al bacio desserts are much better and so are the ice cream and bread puddings. I won't go hungry for sure. Interesting. I don't know why they say that then. I don't wear heels so I'm good either way 🤪
