We booked a Sat night at AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Airport in Feb for $327. after taxes. We are only one night so we were not really concerned about amenities. If I understand correctly, the hotel is nice but nothing really in it but it is right where the new Dana Pointe entertainment center is. We shouldn't have a problem walking out and finding some dinner. At least that is the hope. Good luck!

I’ve done way earlier off of Royal many times. I’m not familiar with Princess but if she docks early like Royal and you take your own bags off you should have plenty of time. I think this question is more about temperament. If you can flow with the headaches, possible delays, and close calls then do it. The folks telling you not to do it are the ones that can’t take risk. I always do it! Full disclaimer.. I have folks calling me crazy on another thread because I have a 50 minute layover in Munich from the US. 🤷‍♀️

I will just never understand the argument about marijuana. So many other extremely dangerous drugs that all governments should be focusing on. I live in a place where it is legal. Do I enjoy walking through the overwhelming pungent smell on my way to lunch? No. Such is life. I also don’t like the smell of the water treatment facility 5 miles from my home that I frequently drive through. I also don’t enjoy obnoxious drunks but enough folks have decided they want to drink so we shall tolerate all the bad that comes with it. I don’t personally see marijuana as any different than alcohol. If anything alcohol is typically known to incite violence in folks. That is all okay cause we all love a drink. 🍷

I didn't pay attention that the people in the other cabin were your kids. So that makes sense.

I would not bid if I had family in connecting cabins. You are probably better off with what you have. You'll be able to open up your balconies into a larger one and have a shared space. If you win a bid your cabin will likely not be near the rest of your family. I don't find the benefits useful especially when your entire party doesn't have the same benefits.

One of the stops on the western route has these. I think they are maybe $500-800 for the day. I want to say it is Roatan. Not as far as Tahiti and not as pricey as coco cay.

I'm there next on Odyssey and we will be joined by Wonder. This is pretty much the same passenger count as Icon and a voyager class ship which is how they seem to be pairing them. Unless you are one of the lucky ones to get there as the only ship which seems pretty rare you will be joined by 10K to 11K of your closest friends. Still plenty to do for everyone.

I would expect that to be the case especially once Hideaway Beach is open. The purpose of that beach was to increase capacity in anticipation of Icon.

Worth opinions are the same as food. Just like folks don’t have the same taste buds we don’t all value money the same. Like not even close to the same.

I get the sarcasm however if I had a teenage daughter that maybe wasn’t big on the teen club but is a huge Swiftie I would totally jump on this. As parents I think most of us want to give our kids a memorable experience that they can look back on. I would think family cruisers would have a huge interest.

You can also share those vouchers so if you only drink 1 alcohol beverage a day your husband could have up to 7 vouchers assuming you both are at least diamond. Just another thing to consider.

What site are you all using to determine who will be in port? The only one I can find for Santorini it shows my ship on the wrong day. Given that I'm not sure I can trust the rest of the info.

I just read an article that the Oct 21, 2024 sailing on Allure is being advertised as a Taylor Swift fan cruise. That would be an interesting one to accidentally end up on. Swifties can be a little intense. Anyone have this cruise booked?

Never ever believe an agent that says an old price will be honored. Royal never does this. Everything with them is based on when you book it or the price available on the day you are making a price adjustment. They do not honor unbooked pricing. I agree if this is really important to you then go to guest services and have it reduced. You could also just let it go and enjoy your vacation. In the scheme of things it isn’t really relevant and probably not worth the time trying to resolve.

I am flying Lufthansa. How soon before your flight did you call?

I think other flights will have open seats due to other people missing connections. I would also think because I'm in business that I would get some kind of rebooking priority. I do see a few other flights with longer connections but they are $300-400 more. I'm a risk taker so will likely just leave what I have and see what happens. If things go wrong I'll just chalk it up as part of the experience. Thank you for the tip on the forum. I noticed that one but assumed it was when booking air through the cruise. I can see I was wrong and I should have posted there.

I'm flying to Rome in September and my layover in Munich is only 50 minutes. Is this enough time? I'll be flying business class so will be first off plane. I also figure at that point I'm so close to Rome that even if I miss my connection it won't take long to catch another flight. It also seems to me with all the flying time that they are less likely to be late than a domestic flight, is this true? Should I be concerned?

I will be traveling from Rome post cruise by train to Venice and Milan then back to Rome. I’d like to store my larger bag at the train station. Is this possible? If not, what are my other options?

I just called this morning and booked the refreshment for my son and deluxe for me. My son loves mocktails and tends to drink a glass of wine or two around dinner. He is diamond so will use his vouchers for that. I think the only time I've even used my vouchers on him was on Mocktails when I didn't have his card with me at the bar. We do this on all our cruises. I don't see this as cheating since Royal is allowing us to do it. It is unfortunate that so many folks really did cheat and share their packages which is why they implemented the restriction in the first place. We have no intention of sharing the package so I think I can still sleep at night.
