Just did Moderno on the Dawn last week and LOVED it. Enjoy!

We usally choose ship excursions when time in port are too tight making it uncertain to return to ship on all-aboared time. Worth it since we just had to enjoy the excursion. Other than that, we normally take private tours or do a DIY in the Caribbean.

You know how sometimes they have the promo when the 3rd and 4th person sails free?
Well, they have to put them somewhere. So, they put them in random little rooms along with those that attempted to smuggle water - yes smuggle water onboard. That noise you hear may be some poor soul banging their head over and over until they pass out. Once the other persons wakes them up, it starts again.
Exactly.

Smart people would take a few minutes to read about what they are buying before blindly giving someone your credit card number. The Ts&Cs for the free at sea are not long (like the passenger contract). And if you don't like it, cancel. Immediately. Then there is nothing to complain about.

The question is not reasonable. The mandatory lifeboatndrill is mandatory. Why would anyone ask if you can skip the mandatory lifeboat drill that is mandatory?

Why would u even ask such as stupid question.

Can't speak for Escape, but for Breakaway and Gem you could, but the TV remote would not allow you to change TV input to watch it. We purchased a very small flat screen TV at Wal-Mart (probably 12-14") for a reasonable price which takes up very little suitcase space and have used it onboard ever since.

In August 2014, I was on the Getaway, which sails out of Miami. One of the buffet restaurants near the climbing wall, ALWAYS had Latin food each and every day. So maybe on you next cruise, consider the Getaway.

If you're with first group off the ship there's no need for a porter. There's no lines no wait.
We sailed The Escape twice in 2016. Both times we did express walk off and was at FLL about 8:45am. We have a short flight to BWI and arrived home while many was still waiting at the airport. How sad.
I wonder how many commenters have actually had the courage to try this. And how many are committing from actual experience.
I will say though that as we get older our thoughts on this will probably change.

Nothing to compare it to only ate Brazilian on BA and it was just sooo much food you should plan not to eat all day before you eat there.

We are also DCL veterans, but I refuse to pay DCL's ridiculous prices anymore. We have a NCL cruise booked this summer, and it is nice to see your positive review.

Almost booked a Aft Balcony for next March, I just put a hold on it, when I read my "hold" info I am pretty sure it said the UDP came with 3 dinners ? Not exactly Unlimited is it ? On out last NCL cruise we had a aft PH suite and bought the package and we were not limited to the number of dinners we had.

Smart pants are the pants equivalent of a smart phone. Nice jeans are the opposite of mean jeans.

So I was keeping a list of good, meh and bad for this cruise but decided it was all too nitpicky because we really had a nice week and still enjoy NCL.
I ended up switching my promo to the UBP last minute and am glad that I did. I think it's a great perk although I feel it brings the service level down in many places.
This was my first time doing Caribbean with NCL, our other NCL cruises were Ctn and Med. So not sure when the $25 towel thing became a thing. I think it may help cut down on chair saving.
One thing that is really my only big complaint, which I don't think is an NCL thing but with most cruise line, I miss midnight buffets. They were such events and it was nice to have a variety of food. I was shocked to see the buffet close at 11:30 and your only options was waiting forever at O'sheehan's or room service with a service charge.
The captain had the most hilarious announcements, like Office Space so done with your job type announcements.
And there was this old guy "Crazy Legs" who was all over the cruise having a good time. I want to be like him when I am his age.
Debarkation was painful. 90 minutes and we left cabinet at like 8am and then had to sit in customer because we didn't have the right form for my husband's nice casino winnings. But he will get his photo on the Ncl site.
Not sure what else to say now. If you have questions,. Ask..
