Wow! I did not realize this. This is our 1 st time platinum. We actually got two cruise certificates thru twin rivers and ncl. Booked at a great time and got a ocean view with picture window, UBP, dining package and trip insurance for $1,000 total price. 7 night Bermuda. No airfare because we live close to port. Cheap week getaway.

Not call the TA. It doesn't seem like you have a very good TA. If they notify the cruiseline that your mother will not be coming they may charge a cancellation fee for the room, a surcharge, or anything else.

 

I would show up as the three of you. Check in and say your mother will be joining you later.

 

As far as the plane ticket goes, there is no reason that has to be changed. People miss flights all the time.

 

It would be much easier if your TA would more your husband or you to the other room. It seems that's not the case. If so, I would do as mentioned.

This is why I never use a TA. No need to add a middle man in the equation when you could be dealing with NCL directly and getting this resolved.

I just switched to a TA and was able to upgrade my GTY Balcony to a BB angled balcony for only $140 total for 4 people! If I had done it through NCL, it would have been $320! And I got $50 additional OBC! Woot!

Greetings. I'm a Carnival regular about to take my first cruise on Norwegian this summer (Norwegian Star, July 4, Baltic Capitals). I should note I'm not unhappy with Carnival, we chose this cruise for the itinerary.

 

Can the Norwegian regulars offer me any tips/strategies for how to make the most out of my Norwegian cruise? Any suggestions are welcome. :D

Same here. We haven't seen huge increases. We booked The Getaway for Thanks Giving week - ocean view with drink and dining package everything for a less than $2100.00. We did book early.

 

We sail The Escape over the Memorial Day week same package as Getaway for about the same price.
