  1. Whoa they have memory foam pillows by request?!? That'd be awesome, their pillows are WAY too fat.
  2. We stayed on the Oasis last January in a Boardwalk Balcony and I found the noise horrible. For context, I try to be in bed by 9 and asleep before 10. The aqua show ran til 11pm a couple of nights. It was so loud! Also, the carousel runs during the day and there are ringing bells for that, too. I will never stay in a room on the Boardwalk again.
  3. Can anyone tell me what the Key breakfast looks like and where they have it? Trying to figure out if I want to do an excursion the last day before heading to the airport or if it's worth it to hang out at the Key breakfast and be one of the last ones off the ship. TIA
  4. My husband and I purchase two device access so that each of us can have access but beware if your work requires multi-factor authentication, you will need to have both devices signed in. Example: he has to sign in to internet on his phone and PC and then when he logs on to company email from the PC, he gets the MFA code sent to his phone. After he enters the authentication code, he can log off his phone and I can get on my internet with whatever device I choose. Just something to think about when purchasing packages or when you talk to your IT, perhaps they can send your MFA to a personal email or whatever so that you only need internet for one device.
  5. Yes, Android instructions are as follows, per Engineroom Snipe: Do not give up yet. I am using the Android app. 1. start the app/ 2.Tap the center calendar at the top between the ship and person. 3. It should show a drop down of your cruise days. 4. At the very bottom, tap the "Change Ship/Dates" 5 It goes to "Your upcoming cruises." 6. Finger scroll to the bottom. 7. Select "Browse our ships". 8. Select your next cruise ship . 9. Select the earliest cruise date which will be a current cruise going on right now, today. 10. The menus and activities should appear as if you are on ship at the current moment. Let me know where this fails for you and I will try and give screenshots if needed.
  6. You ROCK Engineroom Snipe! Those steps worked. And I'm in!!!
  7. Wondering if guys are all on iPhones? I think our apps vary slightly because I don't have an option to Browse Our Ships. The closest I come is "Cruises" and it takes me to a page where I can purchase my next cruise lol. Thank you for the step by step instructions, I appreciate you trying to help! And yes, that's how it worked for me last summer, when I was researching my cruise prior to September. Oh well! Thanks everyone!
  8. Yeah I saw this on our cruise from last year but I tried looking at all three floors of the MDR and nothing. I found the generic menus on the web but I've got a 9 night sailing in two weeks so wanted to see what menu was each night, in order to plan what night I'm doing specialty dining. Thanks!
  9. How do I do that? Can't figure it out. Thanks!
  10. Remind me, where do I go in the app to find the daily dinner menus for the main dining room? I thought you went to "Dining:" at the bottom of the app, selected "Main Dining" and then a main dining room and you'd be able to pull it up but mine doesn't show anything in there. Cruise leaves in two weeks so it's not that far out!
  11. Thanks Everyone! I decided to book the Everglades excursion again since it'll be a different time of year, maybe different flora in bloom? I just cannot go hang out at the airport for over five hours!
  12. Oh sorry, yes. The only one we're eligible for is the Everglades tour which we just did in September. It was beautiful but we just did it. The others are only for flights departing after 5pm. But thank you for the suggestion. If I can't come up with something better, I'll probably revisit the Everglades!
  13. I'm in the same boat, so to speak. Flight home from Miami is at 3pm. Wondering if anyone has any other ideas besides resort day passes, since actual time spent at the resort will not be much. We'll have too much luggage to drag around town so wherever we go, we'd need to be able to stash it onsite. Thanks for the suggestions!
  14. Thanks! I think I caught them in the middle of raising the price...I haven't tried pulling the trigger again because it costs more. 😞
  15. Hey has anyone successfully booked their airline package through Air2Sea recently? I just tried to do it this afternoon and I keep getting the message that my credit card is declined. I've tried 3 different cards, 3 different times and I know none of them are maxed out LOL. Or do I just call RCI's 800 number to book it? I used a travel agent (big box) so not sure if I call THEM if they can book me through Air2Sea? I want the guarantee so I'm not interested in purchasing airfare on my own. If something has changed about how to successfully book with Air2Sea, please let me know. TIA!
  16. My husband and I did their Multi Beach Snorkel Trip last January and had an amazing time. I know it's not your excursion but the company was excellent to work with and the price was great, especially when compared to ship excursions. Our guide was Thenford's nephew and he took us to several snorkeling spots around St. Kitts, where we were able to avoid all the cruise ship tours and get an insider's view of the island. We've already booked with them again for our next cruise in March.
  17. Yep, we took a cruise over Halloween one year. Many many people dressed up and they had a parade on the Promenade for the kids to walk and trick-or-treat from the spectators.
  18. Royal lets their excursion folks off with the first wave once you clear customs. The others are correct, you just do whatever it says on your ticket. Make sure you are at the designated meeting place on time and you won't have any problems making your excursion. And if your ship is late, they communicate with their excursion partners to let them know.
  19. I have cruised out of Galveston many times and always used Royal's transfer from IAH. They drop you at the terminal for your airline. Speaking for United because we are going from DEN-IAH. They drop you off at the baggage claim level and open the bottom of the bus and pull your bags off. You just grab your bags, go in the terminal, get on an elevator and go up one floor to ticketing to check in for your flight and drop your bags. It is very easy! (The cruise transfers immediately reload and take the next week's group out to Galveston for their cruise)
  20. NVM, just finished the thread and see that you can get espresso shots/cappuccinos too. That's cool!
  21. Does this coffee machine make special coffee drinks like lattes? Or is it just another way to get your regular coffee in the morning without waiting in line?
  22. Awesome! Thank you Steve! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!!! After 10 years of wifi calling I was beginning to wonder if I was losing my mind;) Thanks everyone for your feedback too! Glad to hear it shouldn't be an issue on my next cruise, barring any forced system updates lol
  23. Yeah it was enabled but it didn't matter once I switched to airplane mode and the ship's wifi and it wouldn't work for me...and gave me warning messages that it wouldn't work, either. I tested it all long before we ever left Miami. Always do, just in case there are problems, I can still fix it while in 5g range.
  24. Hi All, getting ready to go on our next cruise in approx. 40 days and thinking through what I'll need to get squared away before we leave. I have a question for everyone regarding WiFi calling. For the past 10 years, I've always purchased the ship's internet package and then once we depart, switch to airplane mode and WiFi. From there, I have always been able to make WiFi calls to family/work/dog sitter back home whenever needed. This has been true for the past 10 years. However, on my last cruise in January, this did not work anymore. FWIW this was our first cruise on a BIG ship (Oasis) and I did have a new phone since the last cruise (Galaxy S20+5G) and only my 2nd cruise since the Pandemic shutdown. So I did the usual settings changeover on my phone like normal and started getting all these error messages that WiFi calling would not work, etc. and I was not going to be able to make or receive phone calls or texts. I went to the Oasis' tech support station onboard and asked them about it and they looked at me like I was nuts, there was no way I should have ever been able to make WiFi calls?!? So how does everyone do this? I heard about possibly getting What's App or whatever (I don't do social media) so I wanted to query the pros on the message board and ask how everyone is accomplishing this and if anyone has any ideas as to why it doesn't work anymore? Because I was on a bigger boat? Was it my newer phone? New internet on board since the Pandemic? I'm curious! Like I said, I've got 40 days-ish to figure out my plan and if I really can't make calls, fine, but let me know if there's a workaround (a calling app) or some setting in my phone that I missed and I can make this work! Thank you so much!
  25. We did Trikes Aruba a few years ago and had so much fun!
