Agree, crazy echo, can barely understand a word. Not very reassuring for technology update. :(

I think she is a beauty too! I love the look and I think the north star is going to look grand! Kudos to Royal for making such huge ships look amazing. :D I can't wait to sail in November.

I know I am late to the party, but just wanted to add my thanks to all those on this thread that have kept us up to date and provided all the wonderful pictures and links. This really gets me excited for my turn. Excitement had waned a bit with the lack of info. Hopefully we get to see lots more real soon.
Oh, and I like the bear, unique!!
Agree! This is a great thread. I was up in the early hours, NJ time, watching, and I really appreciate all the new pictures and updates. I think excitment will pick up as we get more pictures and information, hopefully now. And, I like the bear too!!!

I like it. It's different. Just one more thing to set the ship apart. Another example of RCI thinking outside the box.
I agree. At first I was a bit taken aback by it, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. I think white would be boring, maybe blue, but that would be a bit boring too, since there is a lot of blue on the ship (love the blue hull). So, for me at least, the magenta works. It is art and it is subjective. I think it meant to be a fun piece without any real significance and agree it is done to set the ship apart. Which it certainly does. Bravo RCI, I love the look of the ship and art. The bar is very high, and I can't imagine how hard it is to come up with new and different ideas in an industry that is so competive. I am very excited about my Nov cruise. :D

Thanks so much for the pictures. I watched the float out in the early hours of the morning from NJ. I am so very excited! I love the look of the ship and even the big pink bear! Can't wait until Nov 18! :D

I plan to be in Papenburg next saturday for the Quantum of the Seas float out.
Hope to get some good pictures as well as videos - I will post pictures and videos on my blog: Quantum of the Seas float out and Ems Conveyance after the event.
Also planning for pictures and videos from the Ems Conveyance in September.
Thanks so much. I am so excited. RCCL really knows how to build beautiful ships, IMO. I can't wait to see this beauty fully, floating in a few days. Ya gotta give it to them, for such a massive vessel she has beautiful lines. We are on the nov 18 sailing and I am beyond excited. Can't wait for your blog update. Thank you again.

Thank you to everyone for all their kind words. I love reading reviews and having the compasses so this is my way of giving back. To all those lucky enough to be going on Oasis I know you are going to have a most awesome time, just relax and enjoy it!
-
Well, I have all the compasses, but it seems they are too big to upload. :(
If you would like them you can e-mail me and I will send them to you.
my e-mail is ltrogrady@optonline.net
I have the menus also.

So off we went. We saw lots of nature and other boats along the way
Our Captain was very entertaining and lots of fun
He said it was chilly and they were having trouble finding the gators, cause they don't come out in the cold, but he found us some good ones!
Another view
And some birds
A lovely way to end a vacation.
So, now do you want the Compasses? I know you do, cause I always want them in advance.

So it now time to say goodbye to Oasis of the seas, we will hopefully see this beautiful lady again some time.
Arriving in Ft. Lauderdale
And dawn breaks
Disembarkation was not quite as easy as embarkation. Since we were in a suite and used luggage valet we could get off anytime. But it did not seem like the crew knew that when we tried to get off. They kept asking me for my number and I kept telling them, I have no number, the instructions on my paperwork say get off anytime. Hmmm... Then things got delayed so we got stuck waiting in the lounge for about 1/2 and finally we were able to disembark.
And we are off to Sawgrass Recreational Park. Because our flight did not leave until 5pm we decided to make the most of the last day of our vacation. There are tons of cabs when you exit the ship so we took a cab to the airport and picked up a rental car. Sawgrass is not a bad ride. We stopped for breakfast and then off to see alligators.
This is an Everglades tour. Not much else to do here, a small gift shot and "zoo". But a nice thing to do at the end of a vacation. We opted for private tour. We were assigned a boat and captain and off to the dock. We left the wheelchair at the top of the ramp and the boat was pretty easy for my mom to get into.

Here are some pictures I took of the sun rise
Still more
I hope you enjoyed the cruise. Tomorrow we depart this gorgeous lady, but we will surely be back. And we are going to the Everglades to get up close and personal with some gators. Stay tuned it ain't over yet.

Looking up
The Rock Wall at night
Dusk from our balcony

So a fitting end to cruise here are some night views
The Boardwalk Entrance
The Carousel at night
closer view
Ice Cream Anyone?
Or a yummy drink?
A night view of Johnny Rockets
-
So we decided to keep it casual for the last night. We were all tired, and did not want to fight our way into the dining room with the wheel chairs. Johnny Rockets is great! Lots of food for a very little cost.
Outside view
The Bus!
It is a happy place!
The appetizers
Bacon Cheese Fries! No calorie counting for me on this cruise!
-
The Current Pool. I really wished my son was younger so I could have tried this out.
Hanging out by Wipe Out Cafe
An Infinity Hot Tub! How Cool is that!
Another Boardwalk view
And I can't forget the SANDWICH!
Bear is having fun too!
-
The last day is always bitter sweet. I know I had a really great time and lots of wonderful memories but it is sad to end. Today we enjoyed the pools and I took some more pictures. This section will consist of a bunch of miscellaneous pictures as well as our dinner at Johnny Rockets.
A walk around
A look down
Sea Day Fun
Fun shows in the Aquatheater
And of course a pool band
And the logo

Great review. Congratulations to your son and his girlfriend. RCL did a great job in decorating their room. Lovely that you are spending the engagement together as a family with grandmas as well. Love your formal night outfits.
Thank you. Yes it was nice family time. Having two elderly eccentic grandmas was definitely more challenging than it looks in pictures though. but i am very grateful we were able to do it this was. :)

Wow!!! Such an awesome trip report! The pictures are absolutely fabulous! I especially love the proposal bed pic. They did an amazing job! Congratulations, rob and Amanda! I'm so jealous cuz you look stunning in your formal gown and bikini! I can't stop reading and have loved looking at the pix! I've been sharing with my hubbie and daughter! I told her that we hope to take pix with the Madagascar penguins! They look like so much fun! I'm about to read on your report march 3rd. By the way, your aqua theater suite is amazing! Dream of being in one some day! We are booked on our 1st Royal Caribbean cruise for the junior suite on Freedom OTS November week out of port Canaveral. We have done two Disney cruises. We wanted to do Oasis or allure but want to visit family in orlando day before cruise and day of disembarking. Next time goal will be oasis or allure! :) (sorry for the babbling. Too much to say!)
Thank you. I appreciate all you kind words. Yes definitely give this big girl a try. So much fun. Just keep it in perspective. The characters are great, it is done very tastefully. And she is BIG. Think of it as a floating city.

Was the seafood shack food equivalent to a place on the boardwalk at home?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Hard to say since i only had one thing, but yes i think the shrimp and fries was decent boardwalk quality food. I really enjoyed it. I think it is the extra dollars and not quality that keep this place empty. people gripe about paying extra for stuff on a cruise snd on some levels I agree but I really liked having all these options. I look at it as paying for the development/creative cost of this big girl. I work for a majo pharma and a pill cost a faction of a penny to make but bilions to develop. I think this place is good, the cost is minimal and will visit it again.
-
They started us out with warm corn chips and salsa
I had coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries. Yummy!
Tom had hot wings, you can see them in the back.
While we were having dinner Rob and Amanda happened to pass by. So I ran to get a picture with the famous balloon man!
And with Amanda too!
After dinner we had a little shower. It was interesting sitting in an open air restaurant in the middle of a ship and watching the rain.
After dinner we headed out.
Tomorrow is the last sea day and I will post more pictures of the boardwalk at night and Johnny Rockets. I will also post some other pictures around the ship.

Welcome to the Boardwalk
You walk through the doors and here you encounter the courosel at sea!
Amazing and enchanting.
And here we are. You would think with almost 6000 passengers you would never get a chance to ride, but it was never crowded that I saw.
Seafood Shack
So tonight we decided to try something different from the banquet food of the dining room or the “fancy” places in central park. It was relatively early and the place was empty. Actually I think it was empty most of the time. A shame since the food was quite good. Maybe it is the small charge, or just too many food options on this ship. I was glad we tried it.

Rob got his hair braided, LOL

So I woke up to this!
What a wonderful start to the day. As previously mentioned Serenade of the Seas met us again in Cozumel. Hey cousin Chris, how ya doin?
There were also two twin Carnival ships in port that day.
Rob and Amanda went to Chanakanaab for the Dolphin swim and manatee interaction.
